Britain’s 4th most popular visitor destination, Bristol features Brunel’s magnificent Clifton Suspension Bridge spanning the Avon River. More Brunel handiwork is in the harbor, where his SS Great Britain steamship is moored. Pirate walks here detail the city’s underground naval history.
Further north in Clifton is the world’s oldest zoo outside a capital city. Other Bristol attractions include At-Bristol Museum and the Grade I registered historic Corn Exchange with its 4 "nails" outside where money changed hands. Also worth a visit is St. Nicholas Market, in a Georgian square home to several bars and a Slow Food Market on the 1st Sunday of every month. Other Bristol shopping options include shopping centers at Cabot Circus, and Cribbs Causeway on the outskirts.
As a student city, Bristol really comes to life after dark. The live music scene here is fantastic and has given way to several internationally known bands, but for something more alternative head to Eastside.
Another option for alternative-seekers is the work of hometown street artist Banksy. Just like Booking.com’s Bristol accommodations, his work is spread throughout this fabulous city.
This Gateway to the West Country is served by Bristol Airport and Temple Meads train station. The old Bristol to Bath rail line is now a cycle route and makes a great day trip.
This was our second stay at The Bristol Hotel, and it was...
This was our second stay at The Bristol Hotel, and it was just as amazing two years on. On arrival we were greeted at Reception by friendly and helpful staff, but throughout our stay every member of staff we passed in the corridor asked how were were and if we needed anything. Impressed with the efficient and welcoming staff team. Our Classic double room had a coffee machine, nice toiletries, comfy kind size bed and good shower and we were thrilled to be allocated a bedroom looking out on the waterside. The breakfast in the morning was outstanding, the standard of food was high, with big selection of lovely Danish pastries, banana bread, croissants: my husband had the fried breakfast which he said was great, and I ordered porridge which was made especially, and this came piping hot , the gentleman serving us remembered I requested honey on the side. We had a lovely break at this hotel, and recommend this hotel to anyone that wants a family or romantic break, it is in a great location right by the waterfront and is near all the bars and restaurants, Bristol Hippodrome, The Bristol Beacon (Music Venue). Look forward to our next time and a thank you to the staff for making our stay so welcome and relaxing.

We only stayed two nights - one full day- as we were going else where, but found the city compact enough to visit 3 attractions on foot while enjoying walking round the central area. 6 Hrs total including cafe stops etc. We could easily have spent another day.

So much to do and see.
So much to do and see. I loved the whole vibe of the city - very vibrant. Loved the docks area and floating harbour. The M Shed was an amazing experience. I like the way Bristol is very open and honest about its past and link to the slave trade. The Old Vic was fantastic and the bars/pubs around there were great - went to a great jazz session. Cathedral beautiful. The Blackbeard to Banksy walking tour was so enjoyable and our tour guide really engaging and interesting. While I didnt go onto the SS Great Britain on this trip I loved the fact that you could use your ticket to come back to it throughout the year - never came across that before. Loved being on the Matthew. Loved just wandering around. Suspension bridge was a highlight and the Visitor Centre there. Will come back here again.

I did like the variety of pubs and places to eat.
I did like the variety of pubs and places to eat. I particularly enjoyed visiting the SS Great Britain, Brunel's ship that is in permanent dry dock. There is a small museum full of original parts of the ship and containing information on the recovery and restoration of the ship before it came back to Bristol. There is a stair case and disability lift that takes from street level to the base of the ship which is fully enclosed and climate controlled for preservation reasons. You can walk all the way around the hull. Afterwards you can access the deck and even find your way into the heart of the ship where you will discover how the ship's crew, passengers and cargo spent their time at sea. There are mannequins, artificial smells and audio to keep you entertained.

Just staying for two nights.
Just staying for two nights. Hotel was not great, no air con, shower control for water not working properly, breakfast was COLD. The hotel needs refurbishing.
There was a lot of water around the entrance and in the parking bays for the disabled.
The staff has been amazing. I stayed in the hotel for a week and everyone was very friendly and helpful to me.
I had a small issue with the plugs and they called a technician to sort out the problem, also when there was a very noisy neighbour they called security to warn them.
I couldn't be more satisfied with the service, I will definitely stay here again if I was to visit Bristol in the future.
Location is great too, very close to both train station and city centre.
I have stayed in some pretty swanky hotels around the world but this was just as comfortable as any of them. The staff are super pleasant and when I realised I’d forgotten my toothbrush the gave me one. The position is very convenient for driving and I was able to park at the back which made arriving and leaving easy as I didn’t need to drive through the city centre streets to get in and out of Bristol.
I booked a room with this hotel and it wasn't my first choice initially but they had the best rates at the time of my booking. My friend and I enjoyed our stay thoroughly. Staff were friendly and the place was clean and very well located just a few steps to the city centre. The room was very spacious and we did not feel suffocated I honeslty have no complaints.
Ideally located within easy commuting distance to Bristol and Newport. Room was very spacious, neatly decorated and well equipped. Bathroom was lovely, nice big bath and plenty of hot water. Loved having the addition of a sofa and small table for working from the hotel room in the evening.
The staff members were very friendly and made check in and check out super easy and fast. The room was very spacious and it had great facilities. It was easy to get to the hotel and we enjoyed the stroll from the station. Definitely recommended to stay at this hotel.
All members of the team at this hotel are warm and welcoming, helpful and friendly. For the main part of the stay the food here was nice also, the location is handy for a walk into the middle of Clifton or for a short journey into Bristol City Centre!
Great location. Brilliant happy, motivated, trained and friendly staff who really try to go the extra mile. Hotel was clean and the bar area was relaxing and friendly. We are regular visitors to Moxy and Bristol and will stay again!
A heritage hotel which is a decent boutique hotel, very conveniently located in the city centre next to the hustle bustle Corn St. It is extremely quiet.
Breakfast room was nice, selection is alright, staff very friendly
The size of the room is by far the best hotel I stayed in in Bristol and I and I stayed in a lot. The staff are Always friendly and professional I really was impressed
Amenities were all you could wish for and expect from an upmarket hotel. Great breakfast choices for all tastes.Fabulous location for exploring Bristol city centre.
The location is very good; the evening meal, and breakfast were very enjoyable and the staff in the hotel and restaurant were friendly and very efficient.
