“We were staying at the Chequers to attend a wedding. John, the owner, was of great help with arranging our room key. He actually came to the wedding venue and dropped off the key, saving my husband the difficulty of catching a cab to the hotel and back again to the venue. John also helped arrange a taxi for us the following day. Really lovely family-run business, with a full English breakfast which caters to vegetarians as well as the meat eaters and lots of coffee! (much needed after the wedding!!)”
