Everything about the location was even more gorgeous than the pictures and with such a great history that the host was eager to share with us. The breakfast was delicious and there was also a dinner option (at an additional and very reasonable cost) that honestly blew us away. We felt very spoiled but also very at home. William the host gave us our space but was also lovely to chat with when we would bother him with questions about the history of the Chipperkyle estate. He also gave us great recommendations of where to go around the area.

The towels would have been better if they were a little bigger if I'm being really picky, but that's it!

The rooms and decor were lovely and quirky, really fit the theme of the house as a whole. The host was amazing, really friendly and welcoming and made sure we were always doing okay. Electric blankets on the bed were very much appreciated! Breakfast was lovely (which was included) and for an additional £30 each we had a 3 course homemade meal, exeptional!

Breakfast brilliant, host was super and very down to earth. Setting was wonderful and ability to walk around the grounds was added bonus. Very oldy worldly place and worth spending a few days there..

Surrounded by beautiful countryside, gardens & farmland, the views were spectacular. The house has a unique, historic and welcoming feel, furnished & adorned with a genuine sense of ancestry & heritage. It’s a charming, authentic place and Willy the owner & host was friendly, helpful, knowledgable about the area & an interesting man. The house has not been modernised and that’s part of its quirky attraction. The area is so quiet so you can enjoy the sounds of the surrounding nature without disturbances. Lovely walks nearby. Large & comfy room & beds. Quality toiletries. Kettle with beverages and biscuits in the room. Huge bath with constant hot water. Breakfast set us up well for the splendid walks we did by the coast.

Everything suited us.

Nice breakfasts, especially as vegetarian options were tasty and available. Lovely dining area. Owner very helpful. Lots of travel maps to view. Good area for walking around the farm.

regulation of the shower temperature was a bit tricky but could be managed

The host was extremely pleasant, very welcoming and hospitable. Good conversationalist, he provided lot of information about the area. Dinner was excellent, carefully prepared and well presented, not rushed at all. Breakfast was outstanding. The room and all else was very clean. A dressing gown was provided in the room, which was useful to access the ensuite just outside the bedroom door. It is a period property in hydillic location, very quiet, remote, silent at night. Nice furniture and pictures. Plenty of books and travel literature.

Ground floor bedroom (not en-suite), though very comfortable, is directly opposite dining room. Can make for exciting trips to bathroom.

Originality. Charming, interesting host. Beautiful countryside setting. Lovely drawing room and dining room. Delicious breakfast and dinner (on request). Spacious rooms with unique decor.
