We love this little cottage, having lived there and enjoyed it's cosy, comfortable feel. Built in 1844, it's steeped in history, yet is far from being a museum! We have tried to create a holiday home that offers most modern conveniences, yet feels more like home than a five star hotel. Recently re-carpeted and having had a new efficient boiler installed, there's always bags of hot water for a bath and warm rooms in which to relax. In the summer, the cottage is well shaded, so a comfortable night sleep should be possible; whatever the season! There's an eclectic mixture of furniture throughout, a TV with Chromecast in the living room and Fibre broadband throughout - so you can be in touch as little or as much as you like. The Cottage has access to a shared, sunny garden with garden furniture and a clothes drying area: it's a few steps away from our front door, so we'll show you how to gain access upon your arrival.
We love Dunster and Exmoor and proud to live and work in the village. There's so much to do in the surrounding area and you can be as energetic or relaxed as you wish. We strongly recommend a trip to the West Somerset Railway, Dunster Beach, Dunster Castle and also to the quintessential seaside resort of Minehead. If you wish to travel a little further afield, Porlocl, Lynmouth & Lynton, Dulverton and Tarr Steps are within 40 minutes drive.
Dunster is a medieval village on the northern coast of Exmoor National Park. It's a tourist hotspot throughout the year, but is also a functioning village, with shops, restaurants, cafes and pubs. It's located within ten minutes drive of Minehead (which has all the usual supermarkets, shops and restaurants) and benefits from having access to the amazing Dunster Beach with it's myriad of beach huts as well as some of the most amazing scenery in the south west.
