Church Stile Cottage is a beautiful thatched character cottage set in the heart of Chagford in South Devon, with views over to Dartmoor. Built in the 16th Century, it is now Grade II listed and oozes charm and style featuring original beams and granite walls. As you enter through the covered porch, you are welcomed in to a luxurious relaxing living room, complete with wood flooring, huge leather sofa, and log-burner effect gas fire. Up two steps into the kitchen and dining area, where you’ll find just as much character, and all the amenities you’ll need to cater for the perfect supper after your day’s adventures. Upstairs, the master bedroom has ample storage, antique dresser and drawers, and a window seat with views out over the church yard. The single bedroom is a cosy relaxing space with a selection of books and another beautiful antique chest of drawers. The main shower room is spacious, modern, and light, with a heated towel rail, generous shower enclosure and pretty feature window. Downstairs there is also an additional WC for further convenience. Unfortunately we cannot accept any guests under 14yrs old. We are happy to welcome dogs for an additional fee.

Chagford is one of the five historical Stannary towns of Dartmoor, and has a range of independent shops, cafes, and deli’s offering local produce, and four excellent pubs. There are often festivals held in the town, and there are wealth of different attractions in the local area to explore and enjoy. The National Trust’s Castle Drogo is within walking distance, and of course there are a multitude of walking and hiking trails to explore throughout Dartmoor National Park. The picturesque river Teign is also within easy reach, and the larger town of Okehampton is only 12 miles away.
