Church Villa B & B welcomes all guests. Tourists, business people and those simply taking a break in a long journey are all given an opportunity to relax and unwind. A log fire in winter, or a seat in the garden in summer. And locally excellent tourist sites of North Derbyshire and the Peak District. With just 3 bedrooms (all en suite) the hosts give individual attention to each guest, trying to ensure that their stay is the best it can be. Bedrooms are well provisioned, from the hospitality tray to a selection of toiletries in the bathroom. Dressing gowns and hairdryers are standard. Breakfasts offer a good variety of options and hot food is selected from a menu on arrival at the breakfast table. Breakfast is taken under a vine which is more than 100 years old, and looking out over the extensive garden. The guest lounge is comfortable, with books, videos and local guidebooks, and there are board games available too.

Hilary and Graham Lyndon will be your hosts throughout your stay: as a couple who have travelled widely they seek to offer guests a relaxing, informed and comfortable stay. They have lived in this area for more than 30 years, so can offer advice on places to visit and things to do. Guests have come from all over the world and from nearby - to stay for one night travelling through the UK to a week or more to explore the area.

Church Villa is within easy reach of 4 historic houses, excellent walking country and beautiful Peak District villages. The closest are Hardwick Hall (with the Old Hardwick Hall and Stainsby Mill) and Bolsover Castle. Chatsworth House is within half an hour, and Haddon Hall is a hidden gem just outside Bakewell. Chesterfield Market is a regular attraction. The lovely Peak villages of Eyam and Ashford in the Water are both within 15 miles. More unusual attractions, like the cutlery museum at Hathersage, the Carriage Museum at Darley Dale and the Mining Museum at Matlock Bath are worth considering. There are many wonderful walks and cycle routes within easy reach as well as beautiful gardens like Felley Priory and Hopton Hall.
