The whole area of Hull seems quite run down. There did not appear to be a lot of local restraunts so lots of people ate in Wetherspoons which meant that it was often very full and very loud. Having said that the staff seemed to manage quite well. Although the room was clean and serviced daily it would be nice if some of the pillows were a little more firm as not everyone wants to bury their head in their pillow.
Also not everyone wants the rain type shower head, if you have long hair and don't want to wash it every day it is difficult to keep it dry.

Marina area & museums excellent. Old town quite tatty & not much to see. Recommend Hull as a base with 1 day to walk around + 1 museum + 1 more for the Deep & another museum. Highly recommend beautiful Beverley for a visit

I used to study there sometime in the last century. It is a quirky and interesting city, not beautiful like Edinburgh or Venice but that doesn't mean there isn't a lot of beauty to be found if you take a close look.
Hull gets slagged off by people who have never been there, which is very unfair. It has a lot of history and nice architecture. And compared to most other major cities it's cheap as chips (and the chips are very good!)
Arrive there via the magnificent Humber Bridge. Visit the Ferens Art Gallery. Take in a show at Hull Truck, The New Theatre or the World Class Don Roy Theatre at the university campus. And enjoy the revitalised harbour and Old Town

Currently there are road works near the hotel .
Currently there are road works near the hotel . That and poor sat nav directions made negotiating the roads entering the outskirts of the city difficult. I know Hull is a great city to visit once there.
I would avoid sat nav and head for the signs for the Humber Bridge before turning onto the Beverley road to find the hotel.

What a great little city! Old Town a real gem of an area.
What a great little city! Old Town a real gem of an area. Lovely places to eat and take a drink, High Street full of character, and the oldest pubs of all. Great indoor market next to the impressive Minster church, live music on Thursday evenings, and great choices of food every day bar Sunday. Waterfront and marina areas lovely too - as it the Humber St and Fruit Market areas.
Then there's the Deep and Museum Quarter (latter free to visit), and even cycle hire through trinity backpackers. And the coast within the hour (or a little longer on the bike to Hornsea @ 15 miles away. And all so affordable. Thank you Hull!...
Close to all city centre attractions but uniquely located in marina environment. The pub has a very friendly vibe and the food is exceptional, home made specials plus usual pub favourites but of a high standard and excellent value for money. Impeccably clean and comfortable accommodation, reflected throughout the premises. We stayed for four nights (not weekend) and didn't experience any noise issues from the bar. Staff were lovely and welcoming.
These apartments exceeded our expectations, for such a low price we didn't expect too much but they were really lovely, they were clean and smelt fresh and every member of staff we came across was super helpful and kind. It's the most at home i think i've ever felt in a hotel. The location was great for the city centre of Hull, and free parking was an added bonus. We will 100% return and recommend to our friends.
Location great, local shop round the corner for breakkie bits and pieces and good selection of wines, cheese and crackers for the evening. 50 yards further to the street of bars and restaurants and overlooking the Marina so ideally located away from the main City centre - ideal for our stay. Views from the Penthouse of the sea and the Deep. great sunset !
Went to Hull for a two-day conference. This room was comfortable and clean. Has a problem with the 1st room (strong pipe smell) as was given a different room no questions asked
The location was good. very close to the centre.

The hotel is located in city centre, opposite to a big shopping mall so it was pretty convenient. The staff was very lovely and helpful. Plenty of spaces for parking. Room was spacious and very comfy bed. Good noise and light block-out curtain. Warm and nice shower.
Loved the location, the marina is so nice with some fab places to eat and drink.

Staff went above and beyond for our needs, the hotel was immaculate couldn’t fault it at all, the breakfast was delicious well worth the money. I would recommend staying here if visiting Hull best hotel around
Excellent place to stay - rooms were really nice, great pub food and friendly staff. Short walk to Humber Street (convenient for the Social) and city centre. I'd definitely stay again.
Excellent location for the marina .We love the bars & restaurants being within easy walking distance . Hull city centre also a short walk away .Staff are always helpful & cheerful .
The hotel is very traditional and very nice particularly worth with the price. Near city centre. Great location and stuffs were very friendly. I enjoyed it. Much recommending.
I did not request a "quiet" room but when booking asked that breakfast be included. Booking.Com confirmed this BUT the Hotel denied it was included. Booking.Com again at fault
