This was a truly exceptional experience! Jane and Neill were fabulous hosts and ensured that we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Our room was beautiful with a large attached modern bathroom. We thoroughly enjoyed our daily home cooked breakfast, and having lovely conversations with Jane and Neill. For those looking for a location where you can walk to a pub, this is most likely not your desired spot. However, if you’re looking for a place to simply relax and unwind which simply requires a short drive to downtown St. Andrews where you can watch the sunrise in the morning, count the stars in the sky at night, watch the ponies graze in the pasture nest door, and have afternoon tea in the garden look no further. This is a “must return” location from our trip! Many thanks to Jane and Neill for such a wonderful and most memorable experience.

We were very happy to have Claremont college as our accommodations while in St Andrews. Our hosts, Neill and Jane, are among the nicest people we've ever met and made us feel so welcomed. Breakfast was top-notch, I couldn't possibly eat everything that was offered. But it really fueled us for the day. It's a beautiful cottage, with beautiful surroundings. We would love to return here one day.

We had the most wonderful stay at Claremont Cottage. Jane & Neill were the perfect hosts & made us feel very at home. Nothing was too much trouble, the room was lovely & clean & had everything we needed .. The breakfast was delicious with lots of choice options. The area is so peaceful with a lovely pub/restaurant nearby called the Strathkiness Tavern, which was very good indeed. Claremont Cottage is also only a few miles from St Andrews so it’s a great location too. I would highly recommend staying here, we will definitely be back again if we come to St Andrew’s. Claremont Cottage is the most soothing, welcoming, and peaceful place I've ever had the privilege to visit. I honestly lack adequate language to express how lovely it is. Claremont Cottage was simply exquisite, and hosts Neil and Jane were warm, welcoming and generous hosts. My husband and I completely enjoyed our stay here and hope to return. Our room was beautifully appointed, comfortable and spacious. The bathroom was fabulous with a gorgeous soaking tub and walk-in shower. Breakfasts were delicious and made to order! If you are looking for accommodations near St.Andrews, don't stay anywhere else!!! The property is beautiful, the rooms exceptional, and our hosts were two of the loveliest people we've ever met. They went out of their way to be gracious and helpful, and we feel like we've made new friends. The breakfasts they prepared were wonderful, and we felt completely pampered.
