“Firstly, I rang the doorbell of Claydens and shortly a very nice lady came from across the road, let me in and gave me keys, one for the room and one for the house. The house is very tidy, nicely decorated and situated on Isaac's Hill about 100 yards from the start of St Peter's Avenue (shopping, coffee etc) or alternatively, 400 yards from the Promenade and Pier. If you have a car,you will have to find on-street parking. I was lucky and found a spot on Bursar Street, almost exactly opposite. I should point out that Isaac's Hill is very busy with traffic and care should be taken crossing to your car. Claydens is a guest house, not a B&B so meals will have to be found. I had breakfast and evening meal in the Nottingham House, a nice pub on Seaview Street near the prom with very nice friendly staff.”
