“The room and all areas were immaculate, not a single cobweb in site. Furniture fitted in with the age of the property. Plenty of parking and a lovely place to sit and look over the fields. The breakfast offered was great and I have to say the cooked breakfasts were outstanding.”

“Great location for accessing Herstmonceux Castle. Beautiful country feel, with excellent landscaping, and very comfortable decor. The breakfast was amazing - do yourself a favor, and get the omelet, because it's absolutely delicious. Sally was great, and very helpful. She seemed busy; there was a festival going on at the castle, but very pleasant. I'd definitely stay here again, although I'd probably come in the winter. New/modern bathroom fixtures. Some older cabins are desperately in need of modernizing some of there furniture, etc. but this was the perfect blend of traditional furniture & decorations, with subtle modern accommodations.”

The view was a healing tonic after a bad previous nights stay in Eastbourne. We will be returning and taking family with us. I would highly recommend this guesthouse to anyone that wants a tranquil break in the heart of the countryside.”

Far nicer than staying in one of the larger chains. The property had lots of character and charm. The owners Sally and her husband were very helpful and friendly.”
