Denbigh is somewhat down at heel. It might be considered a "rough", town and not a place stayfor a holiday. If you have a car it is well placed to visit a number of interesting places that are worth a visit.
Were it not for visiting family it is not a place I would visit
Other than the Castle, there is little in the town of real interest.
It's not a large town and can easily be explored on foot

Denbigh was a lovely characteristic quirky welsh little town which is a great location to visit snowdonia and the North Wales coast. The nice thing about Denbigh is that it hasn’t been taken over by the big brands it’s all independent retailers apart from the supermarkets.

If you want a relaxing time away from the stresses of urban life , this is the place for you. Ruthin has an excellent restaurant - "on the hill" highly recommended. The beauty of North Wales will occupy your visit however extended.
Beautiful apartment - the hosts have thought of everything and are super friendly and accommodating. Nothing is too much trouble! Everything you could possibly need is there... and more! Lots of lovely little extra touches too, such as fresh flowers, toothbrushes and toothpaste and toiletries in the bathroom, lots of goodies such as Prosecco, bread, milk, butter, biscuits etc! We loved it and the location is SO convenient for popping in to Denbigh for a stroll around the town! 10/10 from us (and our Cavapoo, Sydney!)
Susan and her family were so welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. The Hotel has a great feel good vibe. The location is beautiful with the surrounding countryside. The food is excellent and the service second to none. We had an amazing time at Tall Trees and plan to return many times in the future, particularly to host our Wedding in July 2022 ! Thank you for everything, you made our stay with you unforgettable.
A character property created over several centuries with all sorts of nooks, crannies and creaky floors. Dinner was excellent - both food and service. A complete breakfast prepared for the time requested and menu selections. The room selected was described as a suite and had more space than the normal, quality hotel, room. Decoration and furnishing were all good.
I was warmly welcomed at the very centrally located Guildhall Tavern Hotel by the duty manager, Evan. Parking is tight in the rear yard but Evan helped in rearranging the parked cars so I could fit mine in. My room was clean and comfortable and the food, both my evening meal (chicken curry) in the bar area, and breakfast, was good.
Jane and Jim rent out the house next to theirs where Jane’s parents once lived. Jane’s father was an architect who designed the house, and her mother decorated. It is just lovely, spacious, very comfortable, clean, quiet and well-appointed. Great location from which to explore North Wales!
Beautiful location and lovely cottage with great surroundings, 30 mins drive from any beech location in north Wales which we explored. Dog friendly also with plenty of outdoor space and a little visit from tommy helped.
Well be visiting again thank you
Our hosts had prepared everything perfectly, the caravan was immaculate, and the location was superb. We were only there for a short visit this time, since we were going to Eisteddfod yr Urdd at Denbigh, but we're definitely hoping to come back.
Comfortable bed, near town centre, spacious room and bathroom. Recommend the Guild hall hotel for food, just 50m from room. public car park 50m away but beware of times of free O/N parking ... 6pm until 7am?
Was in Denbigh for family funeral, so stay only for 2 nights but cottage was immaculately clean and very comfortable. Would definitely recommend and stay again.
