Very friendly staff. Comfortable beds and a nice radiator in the room. It's a charming, old Georgian terrace typical of Glasgow, and extremely well situated in the West End, numerous attractions, eateries and shops within walking distance.

United States of AmericaWe love the Clifton. it’s an old hotel with an old-fashioned charm — high ceilings with curly ornamental mouldings, carpeted staircases, comfortable rooms and big modern bathrooms. There’s a choice of family rooms with space for 3, 4 or even 5 people as well as regular double rooms. It has a convenient little stock of souvenirs and minor necessities (such as umbrellas) for sale in case you’ve forgotten something. Full Scottish breakfast is served in the dining room each day. Even with the difficulties due to Covid-19 and staffing shortages, they have managed to keep this option going as of 2022. (It was a lot busier when we stayed there in 2017). The staff went out of their way to look after us, even giving us apples and snacks to take along on the day we left. Definitely will stay there again if we are ever able to make another trip.
United States of AmericaThe hotel is situated perfectly in the west end next to the botanic garden and loads of cafes, pubs and restaurants. You don’t get a better location. The rooms including bed and bathroom are really spacious and comfortable, and you really get value for money at this place. The staff is super nice and helpful.
DenmarkThe service was outstanding! Having to move our luggage, as septuagenarians, up 3 flights of stairs was a bit rigorous, but as I said the staff helped. It would have been nice to have had a refrig and/or microwave in the room.
