Brilliant Hostel , clink 78 , really interesting Building, lots of characters, Great Rooms , very comfortable Beds and good location. Clink 78 is very busy all year round and that’s making it very difficult to keep it clean and Tidy every single day. The staff are working very Hard to do so and my Respect to all clink staff for doing a good job. They Help you for everything, just ask . Staff are extremely friendly. Clink 78 is not perfect but that’s what hostels are supposed to be , that’s why they are Hostels and for that clink 78 is a really good place to stay . My Home well nobody’s Home is perfect so Travellers and Backpackers any age should not complain about little Things . Thank you so much to all CLINK STAFF for making my stay so good.

Clink78 is centrally located just 10 minutes' walk from King's Cross Tube Station and St Pancras International Station. This lively hostel offers free WiFi throughout the building, plus a free London walking tour leaves daily from reception.

The hostel is a former Victorian courthouse that has been updated with bold and colourful interior design. Guests can make use of a modern self-catering kitchen. Original courtrooms have been converted into a TV/film lounge and a computer room. ClashBAR, located in the basement, boasts DJ nights, live music, a pool table and table football, giving guests the opportunity to meet fellow travellers.

Reception is open 24 hours a day and guests can access the building and their room using a personal key card. Staff are multi-lingual and knowledgeable about hostel happenings and city hot-spots.

Clink78 Hostel has shared and female-only dormitory-style accommodation and private rooms. Both shared and en-suite bathrooms are available. All bunk beds have individual reading lights and small lockers for valuables. Towels are included in private rooms and available to others for a small fee.

The British Museum is a 20-minute walk, and the fashionable Islington district is a 15-minute walk away.

Couples particularly like the location — they rated it 8.5 for a two-person trip.

Bookings cannot be accepted from any person under 18 years of age unless they are accompanied by an adult, aged 18 years or over. Guests who wish to bring children under 16 years of age must book a whole dorm or a private room. Guests aged 16 or 17 years can be booked into one of dorm rooms, but must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over.

The total price of your reservation may be charged in full on your credit card by Bed Reservations Ltd any time after booking.

Stag and hen parties are strictly not accepted. Clink78 reserves the right to deny entry to anyone who has booked online as part of such a group.

Check-in is from 14:30 - 04:00. A luggage room is available at an additional charge if guests arrive earlier.

The hotel requires either a passport, driver's licence, or a government-issued identity card as a form of ID upon check-in.

GROUP RESERVATIONS (15 people or more)
Please note that bookings that sums up 15 or more people for the same period, or with the same name, will be considered as a group reservation. Different policies will apply for those reservations.
Guests must contact the property directly after the booking is made.

The self-catering kitchens are open from 12:30 until 00:00. The kitchen is used to serve breakfast in the mornings, so it cannot be used for other cooking during this time.

The beds were really close together, which was a little awkward at first. Showers had a knob you had to press every 30 seconds to keep the water going, which was annoying when trying to take a shower.

The lockers were very small and awkward to open. The beds were very close together, which made it a little awkward to sleep sometimes, as it felt like sharing a big bed with some partitions. The small lockers and many beds made it look very clustered.

The facility seems to be especially attractive for school groups and it is difficult to say anything to these teenagers who either do not speak English enough or cluster in groups and just laugh it off. They do not have proper travel etiquette. Also, the access to the dining area was closed after 10 am and although you can store items in the fridge in the kitchen it is difficult to enjoy any food after 10 am, even if the food is your own.

if there's a bigger locker it'll be better, the locker can't keep any size of suitcase, and there not enough space to open suitcases if the room is full

Bath and toilet are really dirty and smell awful. Most places smell awfully. Rooms should have been better ventilated. Breakfast is an absolutely basic, no eggs, no bacon, etc.

The room could be warmer. The window didn't shut fully and the heating wasn't on

if there's a bigger locker it'll be better, the locker can't keep any size of suitcase, and there not enough space to open suitcases if the room is full
the location is quiet good, it's about 10min to the train staion. also the staffs are very friendly
