Clinkgate Farmhouse is first and foremost a happy lived-in home along with Minnie-the-Moocha, the resident Jack Russell, who gets along with everybody. We are not a "fussy" B & B. You won't find knitted loo roll holders or those annoying 'keep your feet off the bed' signs. You will find an abundance of art, a place to park your car off the road and a large Longleat Oak table to eat your breakfast from. We are situated on the outskirts of Frome, 1 mile from the town centre.

Frome is a quirky place to visit with much to offer including two theatres, arts venues, interesting independent shops, a licensed cinema and some quirky twists and turns housing various places to eat and drink. There is a renowned artisan market on the first Sunday of every month (bar chilly January and February) and a 2 week festival in early July which promotes comedy, arts, music and poetry. Frome sits alongside the Longleat Estate, is only 13 miles South from Bath, has Babington House even nearer and can be reached from London via the M3, the A303 and Stonehenge. Stourhead, Avebury, Wells, Bradford-on-Avon and Glastonbury are all nearby. Frome has a railway station but Bath or Westbury (8 miles away) have more direct links to the places that matter. Bristol Airport is an hour away and Portsmouth is about the same.
