Many of our cottages have been welcoming guests for over a decade during which time we have managed thousands of bookings for highly satisfied guests. Idyllic Cottages was born in the Stour Valley with Charlie Allsopp being brought up in Dedham which is at the very heart of this area of outstanding natural beauty (AONB). Charlie runs the business and leads the extended team that looks after all our guests from initial enquiry through to the end of their stays. With excellent local knowledge and close relationships with property owners, we are able to guide you through your decision making and answer questions that only true local natives can. We are available pretty much all hours to look after you as we are committed to ensuring all guests have the best possible stay feeling fully revived and recharged.

Property info

A very comfortable and highly finished stable conversion privately tucked away on the edge of a large farm which has been in the same family for over 120 years. The last occupants were Dapper, a Clyesdale, and Prince a Suffolk Punch horse! With direct access to woodland walks and country footpaths beyond, combined modern conveniences including underfloor heating, the barn makes for a perfect rural retreat. Ground Floor Entrance Hall – Leads straight to the open plan kitchen and living room. Kitchen Area – Galley style with sink, electric cooker & hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster and round table with four farmhouse chairs. Sitting Area – Open plan connected to the kitchen area with a large sofa and two arms chairs facing a 40” smart TV. The Master Bedroom – King-sized bed with bedside tables and large built in wardrobes. The Twin Bedroom – Two single beds either side of the window. Bathroom – Bath, walk-in power shower, handbasin and lavatory. Outside Large covered recreation area with seating for two along with a ping-pong table. Secure off street parking and views across fields and woodland.
