This hotel is currently under construction and rooms are across a dark parking lot that has construction workers around and under construction ..it was noisy. I had flown all night and wanted to nap a very Loud under me I did call and ask for another room but was told construction all day at the moment. Also not happy with how far my room was from front area. Room was clean but wouldn’t have stayed if known about issues ahead. Also had my family pick me up from their parking lot and he was sent a 100 pound ticket for that:(. So unnecessary and fortunately my cousin complained and was excused but that is ridicules for just a pick up!

This place is awful!
This place is awful! Basically it is rooms in a flat above a very scruffy looking closed restaurant with no staff at all on the premises.
After a 280 mile trip arrived at 6pm and the premises were all locked up and there were no staff there. You are supposed to check in at the restaurant but it was closed. So had to wait outside. Called the number for the property on booking.com over and over again but it just went to voicemail. Looking through the emails found a different number and called it and left a message. A guy called back (eventually) at 8pm and he was extremely rude, and threatened to cancel the booking. He said he had not had any missed calls (even though he was calling me back)! He just gave me a code to put into the keysafe to find a card. This is so insecure, anyone could have that code and I could have been anyone - there were no checks. So after 2h of being abandoned in a strange place on the road I was able to access the accommodation - how welcoming!
The property boasts 'wifi, restaurant, bar, room service, business centre' but none of these things were provided. You have to climb over the foot of your bed to go to bed as the 'double' room is so small there is no room between the walls and the bed. The toilet and shower are shared. Even though it is called b&b there is no facility to have breakfast. Not only is there no 'business centre' but there is not even a table or shelf in the room to out your lao top!

It's a great place to stop after crossing the Thames via Dartford. Ideal for a night followed by a very comprehensive breakfast. All the staff are wonderful, friendly and helpful.

I grew up in Grays. I left in 2005 when I was 22. Coming back here, I hoped to show my son all my old favourite places. The town has really taken a nosedive and I really couldnt wait to leave. Its dirty and unkempt. It really didn't give and positive nostalgia at all. I sadly said a very welcome goodbye to the place knowing I'll never return.

I like the security of the place but no Table and chair in the room. No reception on ground to take the key while checking out. I dropped the key on the Table when I didn’t know what to do, not to miss my train by 7:45am.
They should be more organized. No soap in the bathroom.
There in no directive on how to on the heater in the room, to keep the room warming, because of the cold weather.
The room was in the standard of any hotelroom, and all very clean. It was a bit odd how to first 'check in' since you have to walk into someones garden, and then leave(!) the garden at another gate to access the room in another building. However when finally inside, it was great and clean. ...and most important: not overpriced!
Location is excellent for guests sailing from Tilbury. We had travelled 800 miles from home, over three days and this was a good stop for getting to the port. There were other folks staying there who also thought so. Hotel owners should feature this plus point in their advertising.
Food was good quality, reasonably priced.
Surprisingly comfortable stay. Location is a little noisy as it's right by the A13 but it wasn't too bad. Pleasant hotel, great staff, fantastic breakfast and a very nice room, with tea and coffee making facilities, made it a lovely stay. Gardens were also relaxing although scorched from the heat as everywhere is.
Love this hotel . Staff are friendly, helpful, and happy.
Food is amazing
The room is beautiful, and the bed is very comfortable
Overall, a very clean and friendly hotel, staff go out there way to make you feel welcome.
We booked for a party of 11, bed, breakfast and dinner - as the restuarant was full with another party, the hotel gave us our own function room with waitress service. We were very delighted.
Unfortunately on my first evening my mother in law passed away, the hotel were very accommodating in delaying my 2nd night by 24 hours to enable me to return home to be with my family
I booked this hotel as the rooms have air-con and having stayed here previously I know what to expect. Everywhere was clean, the bar was good, my room was comfy and very quiet.
Great hotel we always stop at night before Dover ferry. Great facilities including library and outdoor patio. Staff friendly as always and decent sized room clean.
Excellent staff friendly and so helpful better than all the other hotels I’ve stayed in receptionist polenta so helpful staff always helpful 5 star service
