United KingdomWe stayed at Coppice House during a Scottish road trip in September 2021. I can't speak highly enough of this guest house. The landlady, Donna, was absolutely lovely. Really warm welcome, great advice about local restaurant and things to do in the area. The property has been lovingly restored and our room was immaculate. We really found the room comfortable both in the way it was furnished, the big bed and the super bathroom. You can really tell that Donna and her husband have put their heart and soul into the property. There is ample parking at the property and a short (5 minute) walk to the local high street which offers local shops, pubs and restaurants. This was one of the favourite properties that we stayed at during our trip and by far the best appointed room. I would not hesitate in staying at Coppice again and would be happy to recommend to friends and family if they are in Scotland.

Originally built as a Victorian Summer retreat with servants quarters in the tower rooms above the guests bedrooms and now situated at the beginning of the Callander section of the National Cycle route 7 and at the entrance to the Trossochs and Loch Lomond National Park with 14 Munro's within an hour of our door together with additional spectacular mountains , Locks and Glens to explore.
We are very much into hill walking ourselves and like to climb as many as we can get time for. I am particularly interested in the fauna and flora of the area. We are also greatly interested in local traditions and local history and love to give our guests advice on where to explore, trips to take and how to get the most from their holiday.
Callander is a great place to live and a fantastic holiday destination. It has so much to offer the walker, fisherman, cycalist and intrepid explorer from mountains to steamships on Loch Katrine or train journeys to Edinburgh, Glasgow, Perth and St Andrews. There are quiet forest drives or breathtaking longer routes which take in some of Scotlands finest scenery and so many places to eat and drink that you are spoilt for choice.
