Gravesend has deteriorated over the years.

Gravesend has deteriorated over the years. It is not worth visiting. The restaurants are few and far. I can recommend a superb local pub named the Compass: great beer and great company. Gravesend is not worth visiting (unfortunately). The last time I was there wad 1982 and it was a thriving market town but now …

Gravesend is a typical declining British town.

Gravesend is a typical declining British town. The high Street is poor, there are 2 shopping centres that you can go round in literally 5 minutes. If it wasn't for the fact that we have family connections there, we wouldn't bother with the place.

Our stay at the inn on the lake was lovely...our room.was comfy and well stocked with tea, coffee ect ...housekeeping was excellent staff were friendly and helpfull from morning till night . The gardens and soundering areas were nice and kept ... There were a lot of attractions in the area for young and old to do . And the best thing was I could take my dog everywhere with me on the premises.

Very nice small town with a beautiful promanade next to the river. Nice view on the river with the green area and benches that you can sit on them and relax. For short visit/weekend it's absloutely fine. For longer can be boring.

I liked the walk to the town the buses on time when you want to catch one. As it was nice day we walked. The town has plenty of life in it. Lots of shops. Asda.Mc Donald's and other shops to brows in.

A great location, the reception lady was good, the lunch option was poor, and the area was cold but the lady on reception brought a heater which was very good. Have evening meal but there was a lady with a dog that continuously barking . We left and went to our room. Tv could be bigger very small.

The hotel was excellent. I booked a two night stay as I was visiting the area for a funeral and wake. The Hotel was situated very close to the A2 road so excellent ease of access. The adjoining pub was also excellent. My double room was huge - plenty of room for the bed and the work station. The bed was so comfortable, excellent bedding and pillows. The storage was adequate for the short stay. The location was quiet and restful.

We loved the setting by the lake and were pleased to be allocated a room with a patio area, table and chairs overlooking the lake. The friendly white geese and the ducklings were a bonus! The room was a good size with everything we needed for a short stay. The bar menu was varied and reasonably priced. Staff were friendly and helpful. We had a lovely walk straight from the hotel into Shorne woods while we were there.

Very friendly, approachable and helpful staff. Comfortable, good-sized room and bed. Room and shower room/toilet facilities all worked and were clean. Ideally positioned for the holiday aims we had. We were walking the Thames Path / English Coastal Path and recommend the Hotel to others doing the same.

The location was just outside the town centre so was quiet. Gravesend being a small place everything was with a few minutes walk. The room was of a good size, comfortable and maintened to a high standard with a large screen TV. The bar was fairly small but comfortable and service was always good.
