Nice village. Access to walks. Ingleton Waterfall Trail - about 4.5 miles - very pleasant. But note there are a lot of steps to go up and down!! Cafe halfway and various food sellers.
Close to other quaint villages. Hawes, Settle, Kirkby Lonsdale. Nice shops, pubs, cafes. Great places for dogs

Ingleton is a fantastic place for taking in scenery and exploring. Hiking is a must and the peaks are spectacular!
If you want to challenge yourself then try the 3 peaks!
The waterfalls trail is a must!
We ate in at the Wheatsheaf, which is the perfect place for walkers/hikers.
We also had a sandwich/roll from the village kitchen, which was delicious.
We met some of the locals in the Opo bar which had a fantastic selection of drinks and great music!
We even had a takeaway from the pizza/kebab which was great

Ingleton is a small beautiful North Yorkshire village, with many coffee shops, and pubs with locally sourced foods on offer. Also if you are a walker, there are many, like the 4 waterfalls, and Ribblehead Viaduct walk. Ingleton is not the place for you if you suffer from your legs.

The area is a great place for walkers wanting to climb the Yorkshire 3 Peaks and other hills in the area. Centre of The limestone area and are show caves nearby. The Ingleton waterfalls walk which is great for families is just a 2 minute walk away but note admission charge. The Ribblehead viaduct and Settle Carlisle railway is close and Hawes a 20 minute drive to the north via a very scenic drive. Ingleton itself is a small town/large village with some interesting shops and a good selection of places to eat.

Lovely place to stay - Richard was a good host from the moment we booked to the moment we left. It is everything you need from a quiet little b&b.
If we are back in Yorkshire Dales, we will be sure to come back to Dalecote Barn B&B

We loved the apartment.
We loved the apartment. It was spacious and great for the boys. It was well furnished and the layout was lovely. We had access to the garden which was great. It was in a quiet pleasant area. It was really nice that there was tea, coffee and sugar provided plus fresh milk on arrival. There was everything in the cupboards you could need e.g. pots and pans etc.
Ingleton itself is a lovely place, easy to get around, nice shops, and a nice Indian takeaway.
All in all a great stay and we would highly recommend it.
The location is beautiful, and the B&B is very nicely updated and comfortable. Richard was a great host and gave us great suggestions for other activities when rain prevented us from hiking Ingleborough. Richard was also flexible and allowed us to add a night to our booking when our plans changed. My wife and I spent 10 days in England, and Dalecote Barn was by far the most comfortable location we stayed. The three days we spent in the Yorkshire Dales were the highlight of our trip!
The scenery was fantastic. Hills and mountains. Next to waterfalls. Stepping stones across the river to go to the caves. Caravan was fantastic and a large decking area. Loads of room for kids outside on the grass.Caravans are quite a distance apart from one another. No light pollution at night to star gaze. And quiet at night. You can get bacon butties if you want from small shop on site. It was fab. And towels and bed linen provided.
Very warm welcome by the landlady. Cosy Inn with a restaurant that services good food and has friendly staff. The town center is on walking distance. We had chosen Ingleton as a one-night stop on our way to the Lake District and did not expect anything exciting from the town. To our surprise, we discovered that Ingleton is a lovely, cosy town well cared for by its inhabitants and worthwhile to stay longer than one night.
Lovely location within walking distance of Ingleton even though we couldn't see much as the clouds were right down. Fantastic pub, with great staff, genuinely friendly and incredibly helpful. We were there for a weekend celebrating my husband's birthday and had two wonderful dinners - with Yorkshire-sized portions! We are already planning a return visit, can't wait to go back.
The holiday home was beautiful and clean in a lovely peaceful location with scenic views of Ingleborough peak and the dales perfect base for travelling around the towns and villages of wensleydale we had a lovely meal in Ingleton at La Tavernetta on our last night it was Italian and food was delicious
Absolutely beautiful location. The cottage was cosy and immaculate throughout and lacked nothing. Julie and Vick are fantastic hosts. We felt very welcome and quite at home for the length of our stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Sunset View, Ingleton and will definitely be back again.
We stayed in Emelia Cottage for 9 nights in July 2023. We had a lovely stay. It has a good location in Ingleton - only 10 min walk to village. Nice bakery next door! The accommodation was clean with very high quality furnishings. The shower was a pleasure to use! It was very good value.
Excellent location, short drive and walking distance from the village, Ingleton waterfall trail and The Masons pub/restaurant. Breakfasts at Nutstile were excellent and Carol & Steve are wonderful hosts. The room was lovely, clean and comfortable. We shall definitely be back!
The cottage was a lovely little getaway for us. We found it very comfortable and cosy. A brilliant location in the heart of Ingleton. It was great finishing the Ingleton Falls walk and out appeared our doorstep! Very good value for money, we loved it. Thank you so much :)
Fabulous cottage, well equipped kitchen, lovely living room and cosy log burner. 5 minute stroll into Ingleton and a couple of nice pubs and restaurants. Both bedrooms are a good size and lovely modern bathroom,we had a fab few days over New Year.
Super location in the heart of Ingleton, a delightful village. Characterful cottage with some lovely traditional features. Difficult to get hold of the owners and then key safe wouldn't open, so cleaner called round to help gain access.
A well presented and equipped property in a good location for both the Lakes, Dales and west coast. Close enough to Ingleton centre but just outside main area to provide a sense of seclusion.
Comfy beds. Loved the breakfast bar.
Very cosy and comfortable. Good location close enough to Ingleton for walking but far enough to feel in the countryside. Well equipped kitchen and good wi-if and TV.
Comfortable, bright room. Decent evening food and breakfast. Perfect to get an early start on Ingleton Waterfalls Trail, Ingleborough or The Dales generally.
