We visited during lockdown and so the hosts were offering home cooked meals for guests, which were delicious!

We stood three nights at Creag Mhor Lodge during COVID times, so some things were different according to the circumstances. Nevertheless, very pleasant atmosphere - returning "home" from trips to Glencoe or Loch Awe, the fireplace and music in the lounge made us feel very comfortable. Awesome selection of rare Single Malt Whiskies at the bar!

Claire and Angela were very friendly and helpful during our stay at Creag Mhor. We had dinner at the lodge where covid measures were adhered to. The breakfast was excellent. Our room overlooked the Loch and was a huge clean room with lovely decor. The hotel had a nice atmosphere and we would certainly book again.

Location Owner Claire and a member of her Staff Angela were absolutely great. So friendly and couldn’t make us feel more welcome! Would definitely recommend and hopefully return next year at some point with family!

Staff were very friendly and catered for you every need.

Host Information
The Lodge was built in 1890 and retains some of it's Victorian charm. The rooms have been extensively upgraded over the years to provide modern amenity. In the lounge there is a specialist Malt Whisky bar where a special dram may be enjoyed whilst over looking the Loch.
Creag Mhor Lodge sits on the A82 over looking Loch Linnhe. On the far shore is the Dragon's Tooth, with it's nine-hole golf course, rated one of the best short courses in Scotland. A paradise for outdoor activities, we are conveniently situated between Glencoe and Fort William. Starting in May and generally running to October, the Harry Potter train departs from Fort William daily. The train journey described as the most scenic in the world. The Ardnamurchan peninsula beckons just across the Corrin ferry, a short eight minute trip from us. If you keep going, you reach the most Westerly point of the mainland UK, with panoramic views over the Atlantic. The distillery in Fort William offers an excellent tour and there is the Caledonian Canal with excellent easy walking along its banks. There are plenty of day trips you can enjoy and short boat trips, some leisurely, some more exciting. You can find wild life safaris, try all kinds of water sports, or the Ice Factor with the biggest indoor ice wall in Europe to climb . Why not hire a bike and take advantage of the new route 78 cycle trail for something more gentle. Or of course, why not sit by the log burner and simply read a book.
