Character building that welcomed you in from the start. Comfortable period house filled with tasteful furniture, yet super cosy. We felt so at home.
Beautiful huge bedroom, and bathroom. Breakfast and dinner delicious and excellently cooked.
Tucked away location so peaceful, but a short walk into the centre.
Fiona is a dying breed in the hospitality industry. She took excellent care of us, and is one very talented cook to boot!

Staff were great, so professional and helpful. Lady (blonde, sorry, didnt get her name) who served breakfast was brilliant, so chatty and cheerful. Food was amazing, breakfasts and evening meals, such big portions.
Standard twin room was basic and quite small but was clean and had everything we needed.
Set in the industrial town of Invergordon, with the busy Cromarty Firth Port directly opposite and the Harbour.

I booked this accommodation because the location was very close to where I was working, and the fact that it was pet friendly. I especially liked the idea of having easy access to the garden from my room through a patio door. The parking for the Inn is just off the garden, so it was all very convenient. The staff were lovely and very welcoming to my little Cocker Spaniel who enjoyed being there. Dogs are allowed in the restaurant area and we chose to sit out in the conservatory as there was no-one else out there and my dog would be more settled.
Featuring a hot tub, The Auld Reekie is situated in Barbaraville. This property offers access to a patio and free private parking.

We were welcomed as soon as we arrived. We were taken to where we were staying and shown how to work the hot tub and shown where the fridge was and how the heating worked.

I liked that there was a private barbecue pit, spacious green environment, the breakfast basket makes our day and the room was cozy but small compared to the photos.
A quiet week with lots to do. Was quiet with locals rather than tourists around. Would suggest to leave till after Easter time as gets busier and places are open more frequently. I am related to people who live in the town so know more things to do

Lovely wee town, so picturesque and very friendly.
Lovely wee town, so picturesque and very friendly. Shame the options to eat out are a bit limited with just the one hotel at the moment (which was by the way lovely). Hopefully some of the other eating establishments will be back up and running soon as it is a super wee place to visit and the variety would only add to the experience. So interesting and lots of nice walks and history to absorb. Particular mention of Calluna ladies boutique who were open sat and sun and couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful. Will def visit again.

Restful little town with lovely views of Cromarty Firth from the Links. Royal Hotel is in a prime position and provides a welcoming setting for a short stay. We ate in the hotel during our stay because the selection on the menu was varied and tasty.

Cromarty is small but a lovely place to visit and walk around. The views are fantastic. The sea and country views are lovely and even the oil rigs being decommissioned or refitted look spectacular when lit up at night. There are some great walks around the shoreline and over South Sutor. Not many places to eat out but we tried them and they were fine. Handy local shops.
We stayed here because the hotel we usually stay in was booked up for the night we needed to stay. so we were a bit outside the town but we were very impressed with Highfields Our hosts were very friendly and welcoming and the facilities were all we could have wanted and more. We usually fine, even in high end hotels that although you get towels, yo9u rarely fet a facecloth. Here we had a facecloth! The breakfast was very good indeed.
Everything. The welcome basket had a lot of thoughtful touches, the whole property was cosy, homely and comfortable. There were excellent options for dining out in Cromarty, and the whole town is very picturesque. We had a lovely stay and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others.
Lovely little hidden gem within the streets of Cromarty.
Excellent use of space with the fold down bed and decking outside. Lovely bright and clean studio which we would consider again, if and when we visit the Black Isle again.
