Everything from the checking in process as we arrived early throughout the entire stay. Nothing was too much bother to any of the staff. The cafe is excellent but I wish it was open 7 days a week and also in the evening for some light meals if you don't fancy cooking in the kitchen. Our apartment was phenomenal and we have already booked for 2 further stays. Would be good if more than 1 apartment was dog friendly as we want to come in April but can't as the 1 apartment is already being used. I think if you are paying a cleaning fee, then all of the apartments should be pet friendly. This is a gem of a place and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone - so much better than staying in a hotel.
The Park Guest House is in Stornoway, It is just 3 minutes' walk to the town center. Guests can enjoy the on-site bar. The rooms all have a TV. There is a shared lounge at the property.

Firstly, Maria (the host) was exceptionally gracious. She offered to accommodate us in the event our ferry was canceled due to weather. She seems like a lovely, caring person.
The apartment was beautifully appointed and spotlessly clean. The location was perfect: a very short walk to downtown.

The hosts were very kind, and the breakfast was hardy! The view out the breakfast room window was beautiful, looking out into the bay. The atmosphere was cosy and had a home/lived in feel to it.

Small historic town, that is the ideal for travelling to Harris. There are a few historic sites to see but some of them were not open when we visited. Sunday very quiet with nothing open or available to do. Great place to go for a relaxing retreat.

The shops in Stornoway were super with a good range of things to choose from. We visited the butcher, the charity shops, the deli, the new Co-op supermarket, tweed shops, Tourist Information and Taigh Ceilidh where we received a very warm welcome.

the hotel is fine the staff are good prices a bit high but that is standard for the island. my only problem is a slight health issue and with the very steep stairs and the rooms all upstairs i found this a problem but the hotel is ok.

Don't bother with Stornoway itself ( apart from the castle).
Don't bother with Stornoway itself ( apart from the castle). The shopping is poor and it's very difficult to eat out on a Sunday or Monday. Most restaurants are closed! SO BOOK if you can !( We don't think they want to encourage tourists!) Do go to the Black House village and the standing stones. Really interesting. We were looking for wildlife but it was minimal. We were only there 2 full days but wished we were back on Uist!!

I liked the general location to travel around Lewis from.
I liked the general location to travel around Lewis from. My friend went into Stornaway and enjoyed it I liked the beaches and dog walks around.
Lews garden and grounds for walk woodland center cafe. Tesco click and collect!! West side Bosta, Reef, sea stacks, uig bay, callinish stones ( all 3 sites), Dun Calloway…..
A last minute stay due to cancelled ferry, but the staff were exceptionally helpful and kind (they even created a section of the restaurant for the dog to sit with us & we hear this might become a permanent policy, which is great news for those staying in the hotel with four-legged friends). We stayed in one of the newly renovated rooms, and although compact, it was spotless and done to a really nice standard.
Will definitely be back again on our next visit!
The breakfast was perfect. Lovely fresh fruit salad and a perfectly poached egg on top of bacon and Stornoway's best black pudding. Scrumptious! The bed was very comfortable. Everything was spotlessly clean. A small fridge was provided in the room as well as a good selection of tea/coffee/hot chocolate. Marina was charming and went over and above to make me feel very welcome.
This is a lovely B&B on a quiet side street in the heart of Stornoway. Minutes to walk anywhere in town.
Lovely room in a building a few doors away from the main building. This location has a full communal kitchen and lounge area.
Ownership changed while we were there and both former and new owners are lovely and super helpful.
Breakfasts delicious!
The location of the suite was perfect for walking around and exploring Stornoway. The layout was nice and the extra bedroom was useful. Google Maps does not give proper directions so when I had to call the property manager, she was very friendly even though it was late at night.
This was a lovely room with a sofa and fridge as a bonus. It is located on the main bus route from Tarbert to Stornoway, about half an hour's walk into Stornoway via the lovely Lews park. The breakfast was excellent with a good choice. I would have rated this 11/10 if I could.
Helen was a lovely host. Great location, proximate to Stornoway and Harris destinations. Wonderful breakfasts, and Helen will do a fabulous dinner for you if you order ahead. Really nice after a long day of outdoor activities. Highly recommend
Great property in a good location for exploring the islands. We'll equipped with all we needed for our stay and with welcoming hosts and a good informative welcome guide. Only 10 mins drive from Stornoway Ferry. Had a lovely week. Thanks
! Reception staff very helpful.
Nice residents lounge . Didn't have dinner but everyone who did was very happy. And hotel is situated right in
Centre of town so convenient for ferry / shopping or
eating out.
Great location not to far from Stornoway.
Great host and showed us great places to go visit near by. House was beautiful and spotless. She also put breakfast and juice in the fringe for us. Thank you
The hotel was modern, clean and a pleasure to stay in. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room had excellent facilities. We highly recommend a stay at the Cabarfeidh Hotel. Outstanding.
Creed Cabin was fantastic, very well kitted out with quality products, comfortable, lovely enclosed garden and seating area, fantastic Sauna and central to Stornoway. Very comfortable and cosy.
Private space, with a great location overlooking Stornoway. Yen is a wonderful host, and I felt right at home - even packing me up with my own takeaway breakfast for the ferry!
It was a pleasant walk (15 minutes) into Stornoway. The breakfasts were fulsome. The host was very kind and helpful. The view was even more stunning than the photos suggested!
