Excellent stay in this working farm house in the middle of "no where" in Mid Wales. If you want an "away from it all" experience then this is a wonderful location. The owners were excellent, very friendly , very helpful and customer focussed. The included breakfast was very comprehensive and very satisfying. Bathroom had been modernized so was up to a very good standard. Very recommended. Make a booking now :-)

    Hi i do evening meals for walkers. Normally shepherds pie, etc. Good wholesome food. I don't cook for other guests. Please take a look at my site

Enjoy peace and quite away from the hustle and bustle at secluded, 5 star B&B, Cwmllechwedd Fawr on a working farm, in Mid Wales, in the parish of Llanbister. A short drive away from Llandrindod Wells, with its Spa and lake, offering shops and great places to eat. The Royal Welsh show ground with its many events throughout the year is also close by. Offas Dyke and Glyndwrs can be reached on the drovers path that runs above the house at 1600 feet, where you can see The Radnor Hills and Brecon Beacons. There are two ponds with seating to enjoy the wildlife and birds, each of which Is in abundance around the farm. You will also see cattle and sheep grazing in the fields that surround the property. Dogs running free. Cwmllechwedd fawr offers 2 guest rooms, each with tea/coffee making facilities, ironing facilities, television with DVD players, clock radios and many more quirky features. There is a cosy snug on the first floor with views overlooking the countryside. Breakfast is taken in the great hall where the resident Dragon (Fred) keeps an eye on events. You can enjoy a healthy self serve buffet breakfast. Note, we now operate a self check in, instructions on the main door.
Myself and my Husband live in this wonderful house. If walls could talk it would have some stories to tell. We as a family have long connections with Cwmllechwedd. Andrews father was born here. We farm 150 acres on this site and a further 600 acres at our main farm 3 miles away. Farm dogs wander freely among guests.
Cwmllechwedd Fawr is located in the parish of Llanbister. We are 12 miles from the Spa town of Llandrindod Wells where you will find lots of great places eat. Newtown is 20 miles North and also offers lots of lovely places to eat. Or maybe you would like to explore Knighton - 15 miles, with Offa's Dyke running through the centre and many lovely places to dine.
