We didn't travel specifically to visit Abergele, rather the location of the holiday park we stayed on, due to the proximity of what North Wales has to offer. Such as castles and National Trust locations.
If you want comments specifically around Abergele, then it is a small town that has the amenities you need.

Abergele was quiet at the time we had our holiday middle of may.Shops we needed were easy to get to from the place we stayed, being older we had a good base at Abergele to visit places of interest which is what we did.The George and Dragon was a good place to have a drink or have lunch when we had finished shopping. The Landlady was so accomodating, friendly and took an interest in her customers, the alcohol was good too, worth a visit after a day out,if you want a meal not necessarily a alcoholic drink.Every local we met, shop keepers all very friendly and welcoming,an added bonus the weather was lovely. As far as getting around we were able to leave our car and walk into the town as only about 15 minutes walk,my friend and fast walkers so we could do it in 10,without being over laden.

There were thousands of caravans and traditional amusements (which I don't like) but the whole place looked rundown. There was nothing attractive about it, but fortunately much nicer places were just up the coast, like Conwy and Llandudno.

It’s a very rundown small town.
It’s a very rundown small town. Nothing against the people who live and work there as they were all very friendly. However, such a shame that apart from a castle there is not much to do at all. No nice shops and when we arrived on Monday no place open for breakfast. Town centre in need of serious renovation.

A small town with basic shopping facilities but had a Tesco Supermarket which catered for all needs, sometakeaways (not used) & little by way of restaurants, yet travel a little further afield for some lovely country pubs
The property was immaculate, everything you could possible need, fully equipped kitchen, small thing such as cleaning material supplied. Felt very homely, lots of lovely touches. Wifi, Internet TV. Outside area was beautiful, bbq, washing line, log burner, solar lights. Pheasants in the field below, birds on the bird feeder. Scenery is stunning. Will definately be going back. 10 minutes from Abergele, 20 minutes from Conwy. Faye recommeded places to eat etc.
The cottage was well sized and well equipped for our young family. Owners were very helpful and flexible. It was in an excellent location with easy access to the expressway and attractions. Great views looking over the sea. Very picturesque location. Lovely little touches, breakfast/tea set available on arrival. A wonderful place to stay as a base for exploring North Wales, or for just staying in a cosy cottage. Rooms were well sized. All amenities great.
Beautiful and HUGE cottage in an amazing location in the Welsh countryside. We went for a big group to celebrate my mums 60th. The property was exceptionally clean, cute and quirky. The location is perfect, every day we explored a different town. We went to Conwy, Abergele and Colwyn Bay, which were all within 10-15 min drive. There is not much nearby in terms of walking distance but we didnt need that as the local towns were such a short drive away.
This small house is very quiet and has a flock of sheep as neighbors. Nevertheless, Abergele with a large supermarket is not far away. Everything you need was there and everything worked. Unfortunately, there are only few closets and some of them are filled with utensils. The last 100 meters to the house should not be driven in a lowered sports car, as it is not paved and has two ruts left and right. With a 'normal car' that's not a problem.
The location was perfect for visiting friends in the area. The property is in a lovely, quiet part of Abergele. It is very close to the shops and beach and there is a large TESCO in walking distance to stock up on anything you require. The property is just as its name suggests" ....Modern and Cosy"
The hosts were very helpful when I had to suddenly change dates.
The property is very clean and warm and I will certainly be using again!
Beautiful house in a lovely location a short drive from Abergele beach through wonderful clubtryside.. Hosts communications were friendly and attentive and any questions were answered promptly. Swallow cottage is a real gem and we had a lovely meal at the old stag in the village- perfect stay we shall return 😄
Great place to base yourself if exploring the north of Wales.
Great communication with the owner Mellissa, who responded to our messages quickly.
The caravan is very clean and tidy.
Well heated with gas fire and heaters in the bedroom.
Well equipped kitchen with all the basics that were needed to cook.
We had a lovely stay at the ty gwyn. Caravan is lovely and clean. We met the owner and she was lovely and was always quick to respond to any messages. Plenty to do around the area. On a main bus route from rhyl to Llandudno. Walkable distance from Abergele train station. We would love to stay again.
A unique location in a beautiful, private setting in the wooded hills above the Abergele Hospital. We were very lucky with the sunny skies and light breezes that enhanced the special feel of this place. Lovely furnished interior and even a four-poster bed for those lucky enough to win a coin toss!
Stewart and Susan were very kind and exceptional hosts, they have made their house magical in many senses and details. We felt like space and time travelling. We had everything we needed and more. And all of this in the sceneric North Wales with never ending beautiful places to explore!
Clean and very spacious caravan. The en-suite toilet for the main bedroom nice bonus. Kitchen well equipped but oven barely worked. Microwave useful. Good morning sun in the deck but no late afternoon sun. Lovely to be able to have 5 min walk to beach and coastal walk into Abergele
The glamping pods/ tents were fab. Comfy bed. Lovely views of the mountains and sea. A good powerful shower.
I love the little shop type area which you could get all your essentials. Also some nice artwork created locally.
Lovely home from home bungalow, good size, very clean in a quiet neighbourhood within walking distance to Abergele town and great location for exploring the local area, will denifinately book again.
What a fantastic find! Hotel room was very comfortable, dinner and breakfast were excellent, but the spa was brilliant, the facilities you would normally only expect from a 5 star resort hotel.
