We opened Daisybank Cottage six years ago in our Arts & Crafts home of 22 years.Before arriving in Brockenhurst we traveled extensively and have now merged our stunning forest setting and the luxuries and different cultures we experienced abroad. We are extremely proud of our breathtaking surroundings in the New Forest, a national park that is quite unlike any other.We are passionate about sharing all that The New Forest has to offer and supporting local producers,artisan and crafts people. Sustainability,responsible tourism and celebrating the produce, arts & crafts of the New Forest are at the core of Daisybank's ethos. We introduce our guests to the heart of the New Forest by explaining its history, the common rights, the welfare of the animals, pannage season and we direct them to areas not on the usual tourist maps. We encourage car free tourism and are 10 minutes from Brockenhurst station. Daisybank is New Forest cyclist and walker approved and every help you might need with maps, ideas and plans both before and during your stay is explored. This luxury Bed and Breakfast was built in 1901 and has some beautiful Arts and Crafts architectural features and gardens. It is 0.6 miles from Brockenhurst village and train station which has a good selection of pubs and restaurants. The 7 spoiling individually furnished bedrooms which are super-king and king sized come with airy colours,plantation shutters, luxurious beds and bedlinen,Vi-Spring mattresses and all include stylish en suite bathrooms and designer toiletries, fluffy towels and have flat screen smart TV's , free WiFi, as well as digital radios, minifridges and Nespresso machines. Some rooms have private terraces with direct access to the garden or courtyard. A fully cooked locally sourced breakfast is provided, artisan jams and honey, home baked soda bread and granola, bacon and sausages from a New Forest farm, and there are complimentary cupcakes upon arrival. Daisybank is situated in Brockenhurst, in the heart of the New Forest National Park. The New Forest is Britain's smallest National Park, covering an area of approximately 220 square miles. It is the rare blend of open heathlands,ancient woodlands and beautiful coastlines that make the New Forest such a unique and special place. It is the ideal destination for animal enthusiasts, bird watchers, garden enthusiasts,walkers, cyclists(the main walking and cycling routes start in Brockenhurst), horse riding, golfing and sailing. Local places of Interest: The Beaulieu Motor Museum, Place House, Gardens and Abbey set in over 30 acres of beautiful parkland. Beaulieu village is also a gem. Bolderwood Deer Sanctuary- Graded walks through the giant Redwood trees with viewing platforms to view the fallow deer Exbury Gardens: It is possible to take a ride on the steam railway that runs through the world-famous gardens. Rhinefield Ornamental Drive is a very narrow road lined with a mixture of large rhododendrums,azaleas and very tall trees, making it feel almost celestial. Salt marshes & Mudflats. walk along the sea wall from Lymington marina in the direction of Milford on Sea.
