Dolphins Backpackers in centrally located in Tintagel and within easy walking distance of all the major things you might want to do in the area. The facilities were comfortable… great common area and kitchen facilities. Showers and bathrooms were great… very clean and worked really well. Staff was very friendly and helpful. They were eager to point us in the right direction for everything we wanted to see. People were respectful of one another in the sleeping area.

Loved the location, the room & especially the shower. The staff were lovely & although we didn't use the kitchen there was free tea & coffee & toast. There was also a nice outdoor area with sofas. Close to everything. Food at king Arthur's pub til 9pm ..all good.

John was there to greet me, which was a nice touch. Kee was a great host too. The whole place is cozy and comfy. The kitchen facilities were spot on as were the showers, power shower too. Wish I'd spent more time there but first class!

John runs an absolutely stellar hostel. He is attentive to travelers' needs and even anticipates them.. He is knowledgeable about Cornwall and ready to hear stories of travels and offer tips. The discount at the Tintagel Arms is also a pretty sweet bonus.

Dolphins Backpackers is a relatively cheap stay at Tintagel, therefore I didn't really know what to expect at first when I got there. But from the moment I arrived it exceeded all my expectations! John and Leah are both very friendly and welcoming and will make sure everything is okay for you. The atmosphere at the hostel is just everything, it is very easy to make new friends here. Also the location is at walking distance from everything as it is located in the middle of Tintagel village. And since you are staying at Dolphins, you can get a backpackers discount at a lot of cafe's and restaurants. What I also really loved was how clean everything is. I even dared to touch the shower walls and walk barefoot, which means a lot for a hostel. Even right now in London where I am staying in a hostel which is even out of my budget, the showers feel smudgy, but at Dolphins Backpackers, John and Leah make sure everything is super clean.

Great hostel, nice atmosphere, really nice staff. In particular Adam, Hannah, John, and Leah were great, gaves some great recommendations for the area. The area was nice, especially the King Arthur pub (apart from the anti-vaxer) and the pasty shops were great.
