It was perfect for what we wanted - somewhere nice to stay for a weekend in Chester. It was clean, secure and comfortable. We had been a bit concerned that, being so close to the walls it might have been a bit noisy at night but it was absolutely fine. We tend to visit Chester every year or so for a bit of time away and would certainly consider staying here again.

Well presented clean and tidy with small kitchenette, bathroom and decent sized bedroom. Good value for short or longer stay for single traveller or couple. Well recommended.

Property info
Domus House is a period building situated right next to the City Walls overlooking the River Dee. Previously an office building it was sympathetically renovated in 2015. Rooms are decorated and furnished to a high standard with soft comfortable designer bedding and plenty of home comforts. Secure parking is available beneath at a minimal cost (pleased request when booking), the property also boasts a laundry room and well lit communal areas providing access to each of the studio apartments. Rooms are fully stocked with cooking utensils and have oven, hob, microwave and fridge. Our rooms overlook the City Walls and The River Dee and have stunning views. Chester Town Hall and the Grosvenor Museum, both are within 5 minutes walk of Domus House as is the impressive Cathedral. Chester Racecourse (600M away) has at least fifteen race meets each year and is home to Chester Polo Club. This impressive venue also hosts food & drink fairs, vintage motor car, bike and traction engine days, weddings, art exhibitions and antique fairs. Within minutes you can also be inside the Grosvenor

Chester is one of the best preserved walled cities in Britain teaming with Victorian Architecture such as Chester Town Hall and the Grosvenor Museum, both are within 5 minutes walk of Domus House as is the impressive Cathedral. Chester Racecourse (600M away) has at least fifteen race meets each year and is home to Chester Polo Club. This impressive venue also hosts food & drink fairs, vintage motor car, bike and traction engine days, weddings, art exhibitions and antique fairs. Within minutes you can also be inside the Grosvenor shopping centre or meandering along the Rows perusing the boutique shops or taking tea in one of the many privately owned tea rooms or sipping something a little stronger in a bar or restaurant.
