Lovely cozy hotel with very friendly staff, nice clean spacious rooms, love the style and was surprised by the quality of everything as normally places like this are quite dated (we stayed at quite a few across the country). The lounge area is very nice and cozy with that huge fireplace and old style furniture. Nice proper breakfast and food in the restaurant is good. Haven’t had the chance to use the spa facilities, but will definitely be staying again.

The person at the front desk was not very pleasant upon arrival. The bell person however (Phillip I believe, older gentleman with a very pleasant disposition) made up for the irritable and irritating blonde at the front desk. Beautiful property, nice staff overall and great breakfast included with the room. Would be inclined to go back as I won't let a rude employee at the reception desk deter me from going back.

The house, the grounds, the woodland, nature, groomed garden with atmosphere of history. The spa was not bad. The service is fast and real. Full relaxation in fresh air. Fountain and birds were the only sounds around, so good. The breakfast had a good choice of food, tasty egg dishes, milk products tasted real farm produce.

    Hi, our west wing patio door rooms are for guests brining their dog. There is an upgrade charge and a dog package charge.

  • Hi We are driving down from Scotland on 24th September to attend a wedding nearby on the 25th September. What time is check out? Would there be the opportunity to have a later check out. Wedding is at 1.30pm so would want to depart around 1pm to go straight to the wedding. Many thanks
