Loved the calm & secluded location and hearing the wildlife at the zoo from our tent in the morning & evening. Adam, the manager, was really helpful and knowledgeable. The tent was really spacious and great to have your own well-equipped kitchen & bathroom close by. Visited the zoo 3 times during our stay which gave us a great insight into the amazing work the Wildlife Trust do. Would definitely stay again

If you admire Gerald Durrell’s legacy of conservation work, saving rare species and love animals then this is a super special. It’s on the doorstep of Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust HQ at Jersey Zoo; there is also a Zoo bus stop for town. Access to the Zoo is during public open times only, so 09.30am to 17:00 in Winter, 7 days a week. If here for a few days, take time to sit and watch the many animals each day rather than rush through the vast site. The Butterfly House with its large tortoises along with the sloths in the Cloud House were great. I liked the height and spaciousness of the tent, super comfy bed and private, separate bathroom and kitchen tent. The log burner was great for keeping warm in Autumn. On site staff were kind and friendly.

The wildlife camp is located right next the the lemur enclosures so we could hear them and other animals calling to each other which was wonderful. The tents were well equipped and comfortable. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Access to the zoo was included which gave us lots of time to relax whilst watching the animals.

A totally unique experience that we absolutely loved. The accommodation was spot on (not sure we can go regular camping again now!), and all the staff from the accommodation team, to the animal keepers, reception/shop and cafe staff were so helpful and made the experience wonderful. Where else can you sit from your tent and watch the lemurs, and hear the other animals whilst also spotting local wildlife next to the tent such as red squirrels and bullfinches! Such an experience! You could tell the animal staff and volunteers had a real passion for what they do and were happy to spend as much time as needed with an inquisitive 6 year old! Oh and the quality of food in the cafes was superb!

Our first experience in a yurt and it was memorable for all the right reasons. Spacious, clean and all the facilities you need when self catering. The log fire was a bonus as even in late June it got chilly later on. To be that close to the zoo animals was a wonderful experience - we spent the evening sipping wine on the sun loungers whilst watching the lemurs jump around in the trees. And waking to wild animal noises is surprisingly relaxing. Adam (the site manager) was very friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. I'd certainly recommend a stay here.

Location, facilities, Adam was helpful and nice, relaxed atmosphere, staff in the zoo and restaurants. Learning about animals and conservation, it was magical throughout my time there.
