Food was amazing. Lovely bathroom products and lots of personal touches made the stay memorable. Good location for visiting many sights. Main drawback was no overhead ceiling shower due to ceiling height, so shower had to be handheld, which made hair washing tricky.

Beautiful part of the world.
Beautiful part of the world. Hawkhurst is small but very well placed as a base for day-tripping from with a wealth of historic houses, gardens, castles etc within easy reach, plus good walking country.

Hawkhurst is a small town, but has the amenities you need such as supermarkets and shops. It is ideally situated for a number of attractions in the area, such as Sissinghurst, Bodiam Castle, Great Dixter etc.

Nice country pubs and easy to find shops.
Nice country pubs and easy to find shops. Waitrose and Tesco are very helpful and off the main street. Great scenery nearby. Nice people. We drove to Hawkhurst and enjoyed some beautiful spring weather. Feels very rural but with benefits of local services. Would certainly return.
We loved this hotel. The staff were fantastic. Warm, welcoming and genuinely friendly, all while being very professional. Our room was beautiful with loads of character and lovely touches (including brownies and fresh milk). The bed was huge and extremely comfortable, with good quality towels and dressing gowns. The bathroom seemed brand new and was spotless, as was the room, and the shower was excellent - with a very good breakfast to round it all off.
This Hotel was outstanding!! Staff were all very welcoming , this 500yr old place was a delight, beautiful decor, candles and sparkling lights really make it feel cosy and atmospheric especially with the great big fire places. Our room was massive, clean cosy, excellent facilities, filter coffee and brownies to welcome you, lots of TV channels. Very comfortable beds and pillows. Maybe best place we've ever stayed in
The breakfast was excellent. Close location for visiting several National Trust properties. Easy to find. Grocery and petrol stations near by on the same street if you need them. We had a Family Room which is all that was available. It was spacious and comfortable. The shower was in the bathtub. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Lots of parking onsite, in front of hotel and pub.
Perfect location for a peaceful retreat and yet only a few minutes to the nearby Hawkhurst where there is a Tesco and Waitrose. Charming, welcoming hosts made me feel completely at home. The barn is well equipped for self-catering and is spotless and well maintained. Ideally placed for visits to Great Dixter and Sissinghurst. I loved my stay here and would definitely return!
The staff was amazingly helpful and friendly. The breakfast was out of this world delicious and nutritious! So we're the evening meals and beer!! The service was outstanding in every aspect! The bed was super comfortable and the room was very clean, complete with coffee, tea and treats. I would come back to Hawkhurst just to stay at The Queens Inn.
It is an old Inn located in a beautiful region. We made small excursions to Bodium Castle, Great Dixter House and Gardens, and smaller villages and their churches nearby. The Pub in the hotel was warm and inviting. Harry Cox and his staff went above and beyond for us. We enjoyed generous meals, fun entertainment, and cozy atmosphere!
This is one of the best places we have ever stayed. The property and its facilities are exceptional. The garden and the setting are beautiful - we could have sat on the terrace looking out over the Kentish Weald all day. Harriet and Oliver are wonderful hosts. An exceptional B&B.
It was our third visit to the hotel, and stayed in our favourite room, number 5,. Very sumptuous and elegant. The staff as always were excellent, very helpful, friendly and professional. A wonderful stay. Dinner in the restaurant was as delicious as ever
The large main bedroom had lovely wooden shutters, which kept out the sunshine first thing in the morning, the nice courtyard garden was a sun trap and the cottage was only a few minutes drive to Hawkhurst.
