It was in a perfect location, the room was very clean and comfortable. The shower had the best pressure and warmest water I’ve ever had staying somewhere, big plus for me!!!! Breakfast was also really good. Murray was a great host, informative, friendly and very helpful.

Accessed by stairs only, The Elder York bed and breakfast is located in a Grade-A Listed building so some rooms have period features. All rooms have tea/coffee making facilities, a TV and a private bathroom. The dining room offers a continental or full Scottish breakfast. Vegetarian and lighter options are available on request. The Elder York is located in the heart of Edinburgh. Waverly Railway Station is a 10-minute walk away and Edinburgh's main bus station is adjoining the guest house. Edinburgh Castle and the Scott Monument are all within 15 minutes’ walk while Holyrood Palace, the Scottish Parliament and the Botanic Gardens are all less than 1 mile away.
