Margaret was a wonderful host. Greeting us with tea/coffee when we arrived early and sending us off with a wonderful packed breakfast for the early ferry. We would definitely return and highly recommend to our friends.

ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING Where do you begin . The house is magnificent , the decor elegant , food was sensational , price was very reasonable but the real gem here is the host . Margaret goes above and beyond in every aspect of her role as a host , the attention to detail in every aspect from breakfast on thru to the daily linen and cleanliness is second to none . When we return to the Isle we won’t stay anywhere else . In 16 years traveling over 70 countries we have never given a 10 accept now .   • Hi, I am looking to come over when the restrictions are lifted. What happens if the government close the boarders again?

    The borders are set to fully reopen on 28th June although this could go either way. If you make a reservation you will be able to cancel free of charge but I suggest you wait until Tuesday as I think an announcement will be made then.

  • Do to COVID-19 restrictions will travel be allowed to the island in September.

    I would think so, it is being suggested by our Government that they hope to remove border restrictions at the end of May. That also depends on both the UK's & Ireland's infection rates I hope to be able to trade from June.

  • Sea view?any restaurants nearby?

    The Superior Room has Sea views, the only restaurant that is close by is Gandhi which is Indian. We serve evening meals at Englewood but they must be preordered.

  • Do you have access for disabled person on small mobility scooter?

    Sorry, Englewood Lodge sits in an elevated position, there are 6 steps up to the main door. If you are able to walk up the steps then I can accommodate the scooter.

    Hi, Unfortunately there is no lift, I do have a room on the ground floor but Englewood Lodge sits on an elevated position, there is 6 steps up to the door.

  • Hi, How far away is the car park please

    Englewood Lodge is a B&B, it doesn't have a car park - but has adequate parking - there are 2 spaces on the drive and 3 on the adjacent private road.

  • Is transport available into Douglas?

    Yes, the tram stop is 20 meters away, trams run every 1/2 hour, busses are very infrequent, evenings on public transport is a problem

  • Is there access to Public Transport?

    There is but limited mainly to the tram which only operates between 10am & 6pm. There are buses but you need to walk 15 minutes to reach the main stop.
