Plenty of things to do and see. We were there for a gig at The Caird Hall love the intimate atmosphere of the venue. Plenty of shops pubs and eating places. Easy to get to although new LEZ might be a bit of a nuisance for city centre things

Well I am going to say it is great going to Dundee as I am an expat.
Not too impressed with the V&A, Lovely building but disappointing inside. McManus is better. Up the Law Hill is well worth the visit even in the cold and wind etc. and Broughty Ferry is great for shopping and pubs etc.

Only a brief visit (open day visit to one of the Universities with son from England). Wish we had longer - lovely small city, friendly atmosphere and very beautiful location. New design museum a must. Will be back to see more of city and area, even if son does not end up at the Uni.

City centre has good museums and nice walks along the river.
City centre has good museums and nice walks along the river. Good transport and city centre restaurants. Fabulous Thai restaurant next door to hotel, Italian and Indian restaurants short bus/taxi ride away. Good cafes for breakfast. Regular buses to seaside. Would have enjoyed better pubs without football screens. Hotels better for a quiet drink.

Visit Shackleton and Scotts ship Discovery, just outside the hotel, across the road, 5 mins away plus V&A. Also Dundee is where the Beano comic is published and it’s characters are featured in the V&A and in the city.

A lovely town with lots of history, The McManus gallery was stunning and of course free, the city around has very nice and we took lots of photos. The V&A was disappointing as after London we expected everything to be free, this was not the case as the expositions where all paying, you needed to spend £70 each to do them all. Not worth it. The RRS Discovery was a refreshing change nearby. Can’t wait to come back
My daughter and I traveled to Dundee from Leeds to see my Son who is studying at the university. I booked a suite as booking two rooms (my daughter is 20) often feels as though we are on separate holidays. with two separate rooms it worked and we got to spend a good deal more quality time together. the suite was compact though lovely, the bath and shower wonderful. the staff are great and the whole place spotlessly clean. the breakfast at IHG hotels is always a deal maker for me and there was loads to choose from to eat and drink.
Splendid modern hotel in the city centre, a stones throw from train station, V&A Museum and all the best bars, restaurants, attractions etc in town centre. Large spacious breakfast room overlooking the newly revamped Dundee waterfront. Brekfast was top notch catering to all tastes and diets etc. Room was big enough and very comfortable. Decent bar on ground floor and loads more function, conference rooms, dining rooms etc to be had if needed.
The staff were absolutely fab, really are a credit to the place! Always really friendly and kind. The room was massive and we absolutely loved the air con (not common in most hotels we've stayed in). Bathroom had a large deep bath and seperate shower cubicle. The hotel was easy to find and within a good distance to Dundee city centre if driving. Outside space of gardens and mature trees were very nice and well kept!
We had a lovely spontaneous overnight stay the Invercarse. Luckily the weather was good, so we got to sit out in the lovely garden for lunch and drinks. A perfect location. It’s a bit of a walk into Dundee city centre, but it was a nice day so we really enjoyed the walk. The room we had at the hotel was large and had everything we needed for a great stay. Staff are very professional, pleasant and welcoming.
Perfect Location with nice views, rooms are really good size and clean, very relaxing bar area and spa area is lovely.
Staff very friendly and they always deliver excellent customer service at all times. I have stayed here before and will stay again in future. I highly recommend Apex Hotel and Spa Dundee to anyone wishing to visit.
Great hotel in a great location, only 17min to Dundee city centre. Unfortunately the internet connection was horrendous. 3G and still buffering. Couldn’t use the iPad with iPhone Bluetooth. If your looking for a top hotel look no further, if your holiday making…..
Breakfast very good. Why can’t hotels have grainy bread or Scottish bars on the menu.
Not easy with a grammy leg getting a case up 2 flights of stairs at 8.30 pm. A staff member brought it down next morning
Liked view from window.
Room was spotless and the decor is lovely. Dundee cake and tunnoch caramel wafers in the room were delicious. Alexa closes the curtains and turns on the lights, a nice touch. Really nice hotel, short walk from cafes and restaurants.
Great hotel next to downtown Dundee in Old renovated Mill. Super clean, new, modern but with nice touches left of existing buildings. Staff are excellent, breakfast very big and nice buffet. Tea and coffee all day in cosy lobby.
Good value for money.. room was a good size.. decent bed and bathroom. Couldn’t fault it for the price it was and what you get.. compared to other hotels I stayed in.. in Dundee to was just as good as the 3 stars
Modern and spotless lovely staff and a great central location also a good breakfast included in price also cheap parking on the premises my fav hotel in Dundee.
nice enough hotel, lovely bar and restaurant. the only issue was there was loud thumping from the bar until 2 am that completely ruined the experience.
