The property was ideally situated for our needs. It was spotlessly clean and the lounge was outstanding in decor; very pleasant and comfortable. The breakfast was absolutely outstanding, with superb choice and perfectly cooked. Loved the additional touch of sliced sausage and clootie dumpling! The preserves were all home-made and tasted terrific! Hosts, too, were exceptional in their welcome and willingness to please.

I found Dunoon to be a pleasant and friendly town with all the amenities i needed. Cowal is a beautiful part of Scotland with tremendous opportunities for outdoor recreation. I'd recommend it to anyone who enjoys the outdoors, yet is close to Glasgow and its amenities.

A trip to Benmore gardens was worthwhile and the surrounding area is outstandingly beautiful. Dunoon it.self is beginning to feel a bit run down and neglected, very limited eating options at night even at the weekend where you strugle to find anywhere after 8pm still serving food apart from carry out food .

Castle House Museum Gardens are beautiful and well worth the hike up to the flagpole for the view. Food and service at the Lorne Bar are excellent St Ives Hotel has a beer garden worth checking out at weekends and right next to the water. Easy to walk around. Swallow cafe could do with some staff training the person serving ice cream had an attitude issue.

The caravan we booked was excellent. It was a well earned break from home care of elderly mother . The site was gorgeous lovely walks tranquility was everything our little dog also had a great time with so many walks in different areas. The receptionist (Mimet) was more than helpful throughout our stay from offering a hairdryer to serving a great dinner, drinks and breakfast. He was attentive, welcoming, friendly and helpful the whole time. Our bedroom had a great view across to the loch with double aspect windows. Wifi and kitchen facilities are good .The flat is very quiet and the key safe makes entry easy . Ross is easy to communicate with and we have enjoyed 3 stays so far . The flat is opposite the promenade and swimming baths . Morrisons and the cinema is close by . Dunoon has plenty of entertainment available . It's wonderful for outdoor walkers ,cyclists etc.
