Doris, hotel in Wedmore

Doris offers accommodations in Wedmore, 25 miles from Bristol Cathedral and 26 miles from Bristol Zoo.

it was self catering, and it was in a convenient location for us to break our journey. The bathroom was good, and very clean.. the cooking facilities were a little cramped. and the sik took up a lot of the space. it would improve things greatly if there was a board that fitted over the sink when it was not in use, which would give more worktop for preparing food

The staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. Our room was large and cosy and the bathroom was lovely. We had breakfast and dinner which was absolutely delicious, I really couldn’t fault the place. Lovely spot to visit other areas too, like Wells, Taunton and other places. I would definitely stay here again.

The pub near our b and b was closed on a Friday night after walking there we had to get back in the car and drive into Wedmore. Lucky the pub there fitted us in for dinner. The village store was open until 8pm but nothing to buy for dinner.

Beautiful area the village is small but has all the facilities that are needed a car is needed from accommodation to village as there are not really any paths and road is narrow and busy at times with lorries there are lower speed limits but need to be aware and careful if walking. Accommodation fantastic again with all facilities and amenities very comfortable and very clean children would love it here safe garden for little ones and then a playground at top of hill with beautiful scenic outlook the owners were very accommodating helpful and friendly we would thoroughly recommend this cottage for couples or families….wonderful 4day stay😊

We stayed in Cherry Plum Cottage, one of the best holiday let's we have stayed in. The location is perfect for exploring nearby attractions. The cottage was immaculate, everything is provided for, home from home. Penny kindly decorated the cottage for Christmas. This is an ideal place for a relaxing break, with Wedmore village nearby with places to eat and local shops.

The staff was very nice. Breakfast was exceptionally abundant and excellent. As the hotel has a pub, I feared some noise at night, but this was not the case and after 10:00 PM everything was very calm.
