We really enjoyed our stay. Our little apartment was on the top floor with great views. It had everything we needed and everything worked. The house is very clean, as well as the apartment. Sue was very welcoming and made us feel comfortable. Very easy to walk to the harbour, the beach, Rodwell Trail. I would definitely stay again.

The Florian self-catering accommodations is just a 10-15 minutes' walk from the beach, harbor, and town center. There is a regular bus service running to and from town. The X53 bus stops outside of the property and take you to the Jurassic Coast. Free parking for up to 4 cars is available off road with more free parking nearby.

The Florian offers comfortable, self-catering room with a kitchenette containing fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster and kettle. All rooms are en-suite or private facilities with free WiFi, hairdryers and TVs. A welcome pack is provided upon arrival.

Florian has their own Sea Fishing Charter boat which guests can book for an additional charge. Rods are supplied.

    All the rooms have a kitchenette so are self catering. I do provide a welcome pack with milk, cereal & pastries for yur arrival and coffee/tea with pastries, in the sitting room each morning

  • Wats the earliest check in

    Hello. Check in is 4pm until 8pm. If have a car and arrive earlier you can park up and return later. If you are travelling on public transport you can drop your bags off and return later. I do have to go out at times so advise me of times. Sue

    Cancellation with more than 3 days before arrival - First night is forfeit. Less than 3 days before check in - Full payment required. If it is due to Covid-19 (proof required) free cancellation or transfer to another date.

  • Good evening. I'm looking at booking your property for the dates Sunday 22nd August for me my partner amd son. You said you had a fishing boat available for hire which my partner and son are very excited about. Do you know if you availability for Monday 23rd August for my other half and son?

The Florian is over 130 years old. Built originally for a wealthy fish merchant in Weymouth. Most of the house still has a number of original features, high ceilings, impressive staircase and beautiful marble fireplace in the sitting room and the ground floor family room. There is free, but limited, parking for guests. Guest rooms are recently decorated with a seaside theme and have kitchenettes where a light breakfast, snack or picnic can be prepared

We have owned the Florian since June 2007 and have 2 children and 2 grandchildren. In addition to the Guest House we have a charter fishing boat which Dave skippers. We can arrange a fishing trip for guests on request (subject to availability). There is a charge for this facility.

Within 5 minutes walk you have a 24 hour Asda, 3 convenience stores, 2 hairdressers, nails & facials salon and Pharmacy. There are lots of pubs & eateries in the town centre (10-15 mins walk) and buses to town pass the door every 5-10 minutes. The Jurassic Coast bus also stops at the door and will take you all the way to Lyme Regis. Great for guests without a car.
