Flossie's is co located with the Village Shop and Post Office. We are housed in a building that dates from 1901, originally two workers cottages for Estate staff, the buildings have been combined into 1 property. Set in half an acre of garden adjacent to rolling fields we are afforded some spectacular scenery which changes with the seasons. The building belongs to Rotherfield Park estate which is owned by the Scott family. The estate is mainly arable but there are tenant farmers who farm livestock. During the game season many shoots take place on the estate as well as adjoining estates There is an area of Flossie's gardens set aside for guests to enjoy the sunshine and even have a bbq if they wish, We have private small car park and can secure bicycles if guests are arriving by cycle.

Julie and I (Dave) used to be employed by the NHS. A few years ago after watching River cottage we decided to leave our employment and work for ourselves, After much searching and visits we decided to take on Flossie's and the shop. As of the 1st April 2016 we will have been here 1 year. We are still making changes to get the property to where we would like it. We have 2 dogs, both are collie cross. Tess id our oldest at 8 yrs and Sadie is just coming up to 3 yrs. They are both friendly and love being stroked. From time to time Smudge our cat will appear. In the garden we keep around 28 chickens who provide the eggs for our breakfasts. This year we are growing a lot of our own veg and fruit and hope to be able to use this in our tea rooms which open during late spring to early autumn. Hobbies include photography, bird watching and Julie makes her own greeting cards.

Flossie's is situated in Rotherfield park estate which is just in side the South Downs National Park. Located in mid Hampshire there are good road and rail links locally. We have a number of attraction locally such as the Watercress line/mid Hants railway, Jane Austen's house is 2 miles away and Gilbert Whites house is 3 mile to the west of us, The Meon Valley railway used to run through the village, following is closure in the late fifties the building which was the East Tisted Station survived and is now a private house complete with its own rail carriage in the rear garden. Close by there is a village pond which regularly attract ducks.
