Forest Lodge is a quality log cabin crafted from northern Scandinavian pine. We designed the holiday lodge to provide comfortable accommodation for couples and families. It has 3 bedrooms, a spacious sunny sitting room with French doors opening onto a large private patio with views across our garden and woodland. The single storey log cabin is set in a secluded and private area and is accessed via a ramped walkway. There is parking close to the lodge at the start of the walkway. Pets are not allowed in the lodge so it is an ideal holiday home for guests with pet allergies.
The Forest Country Cottages are owned and managed by ourselves, Paul and Michelle Martin. We moved here with our 2 children from Surrey in the summer of 2007 after falling in love with Kerry and its surrounding area. We wanted to start a holiday business and The Forest seemed perfect. We have a number of pets which include Sooty our cat who is very friendly and a big hit with our young visitors. We also have a couple of rare breed Welsh Mountain Badger Face Sheep. Michelle has always been around animals and continues to work as a part-time vet in Newtown. Organic produce is very important to the Martin family so we have free range chickens. Their eggs are usually on the breakfast menu for bed and breakfast guests to enjoy.
The Forest Country Cottages are conveniently located close to a number of outstanding heritage sites with wonderful scenery across Montgomeryshire, Powys and Shropshire, Mid Wales. A visit to the coast, Snowdonia or Brecon Beacons makes for a great day trip.
