It was a great location, clean and has off street parking. The host, Debbie, was really sweet and everyone made my stay 12 day stay comfortable and memorable.

On my arrival I had a lovely meal of fish cake. It was nice to have the room away from the pub and restaurant. The staff were friendly and accommodating on breakfast time.

Amazing breakfasts cooked by the wonderful hosts got me off to a fantastic start each morning. Free parking was a great addition for us. The hosts were very welcoming. I had to do remote work the day we checked out and they extended my check out as late as they could so I could work from my room but then generously let me l stay in their dining area to do work all day, no extra cost.

Banbury has a good shopping retail park called Gateway which is a drive away and on a bus route.
Town centre has lots of cafes, a few decent pubs and cocktail bars. Not sure about restaurants in the town but travel a few miles out of town , you’ll find some good pubs/ restaurants.
Lock29 in the shopping precinct is vibrant and a good choice of foods on offer by different vendors. Behind the precinct is the Banbury canal with a few food outlets, cinema and pub.

Came back for a family visit. I was born here. The town has grown, and along with it, the traffic, which is very heavy, but I suppose that comes with growth..
So many beautiful places to visit all within an easy drive of Banbury make it a n ideal location to stay.
We found great places for evening meals, light afternoon snacks, in fact so many we were amazed.

We were using Banbury as a base to visit relatives and did not explore Banbury in depth, so cannot give an authoritative view. It is actually a good base to visit places and is well positioned off the M40. (we moved on to a planned trip to Straford upon Avon after the 3 nights stay)

I liked Broughton Castle - very historic, just a short taxi ride outside town. I also enjoyed the museum and seeing the narrow boats tied up on the canal. I had a reasonably good meal of fish and chips at the Old Reine Deer Inn. Not much else to do in Banbury though.

Staff was great and very helpful. Rooms were very clean and tidy, room service every day. Great full english breakfast plus fruit, cereal, toast with tea and coffee. Only complaint I have is very low water pressure on garden view rooms.

I know Banbury very well and have always found it a charming Cotswolds town full of interesting buildings, pubs, good dining choices and so on. it is compact and so easy to get around and it is a good centre for exploring neighbouring counties, Wks, etc
Lovely bar area with cosy atmosphere. Helpful staff. Good sized and attractively decorated restaurant with great food - in the evening the dinner menu was excellent and a very good breakfast too. The bedrooms were perfectly adequate but a little tired in decor and lighting. Very nice to be able to walk from our room to the restaurant/bar. The location of the pub was really good, enabling us to walk out of the front door and into the market square. Also being just off the Oxford Banbury A road, meant it was easy getting about.
Easy to find, good parking area at rear of property, met by pleasant lady who explained Covid precautions whilst in the hotel.
Goid sized single room, comfortable bed & nice shower.
Slept well both nights with the odd slam of a door by other guests!
Chose not to have breakfast as I had to be at Silverstone for motogp round.
All in all, a nice place to stay, let down by the missed areas that were dusty.
Visited for a one night stay with my elderly father as we needed to be in the area. Staff very helpful to us. Late arrival and early start so we were not able to sample the breakfast but the room was clean and comfortable. The bad wasn't as comfortable as my own but ok for a short stay. Overall very pleased and good value for money for the area.
Amazing hospitality and very welcoming family-run owners. Thank you all! Easy large free parking on site and less than 5 minutes drive to Banbury city centre and M40. The room is beautifully newly designed, and the bed is super comfortable. Breakfast is tasty too, with a large proportion and 5-star service! I will definitely book again!
This Inn is away from the crowds and although post code is Banbury the pub itself is a few miles out of town in a hamlet. The owners were very welcoming, the room was small but quite delightful, with lovely homely touches. Shower room was small but sufficient. The food was a delight and this place was a welcomed find.
Location excellent and the staff where really friendly, but the rooms are dated and tired and the back of the hotel isn’t in keeping with the rest of it. It’s a wonderful old building and to say it’s the oldest building in Banbury they could make a more in keeping job on the back building.
Breakfast was not provided. I could not access the wifi, though it was there. On price, it was on the expensive side, being only just a little more exclusive than a room in someone's house, but more affordable than the Band Bs and hotels in the area.
Perfect location for exploring Banbury and the surrounding area, easy walking distance to restaurants and other places to eat. Immaculate house, spotless accommodation and generous well cooked and presented breakfast. Friendly and welcoming host.
It was a lovely little hotel/guesthouse with great pub and restaurant combined. When in the area again, will definitely chose to stay there. Breakfast (included) was first class, hoping next time I stay, that English marmalade is available !!.
Excellent location in the North of the Cotswolds - one of the best villages in the area. Good proximity to Banbury, Oxford, Warwick and Stratford. Lot of character to the cottage and area. Comfortable beds. Well equipped kitchen.
Easy to find and a very handy location for a night out in Banbury. Cheerful welcome and the the host allocated me a room with an extra long bed. Very fast wi-fi, which made me realise how poor other places are
Location for visiting The Cotswolds very good. Easy walk, if wanted, to Banbury town centre. Excellent, safe parking.
Very large comfortable beds. Lovely breakfast. Great hosts.
The hotel has an old fashioned charm and the bed was lovely and comfortable. It was central to Banbury and within 10 mins by car from the family we were visiting.
The building was vintage in style and it had lots of lovely features. The staff were great and very helpful throughout our stay.
A must visit when in the area!
