Set in farmland, backing onto the river but only a few minutes drive and a lovely walk along the riverbank into March Town Centre, we are ideally situated for the traveler who wants peaceful surroundings but be able to get into town very easily/quickly. We have off street parking for several vehicles and even for larger trucks (please pre book for this) Between April and October, you can take a canoe on the river or take an archery lesson while you are here. Our guests can all fish off our mooring. We believe bed and breakfasts should first of all get the basics right; providing you have a great nights sleep on a comfortable bed and a great breakfast along with friendly and helpful hosts. Hence we are proud of both our Visit England Good Breakfast Award and our Silver level grading. Our comprehensive cooked breakfast menu provides you with locally sourced free range meats and eggs, home made breads and muffins (also home made biscuits in your room). Our rooms are large, sunny and cosy, all with private facilities We have a sun room available for guests who want a change from their rooms with books and DVD's to use. John is a qualified archery instructor. If you fancy booking a lesson or having a go, let us know when you book. We both enjoy meeting people and really enjoy what we do. We like splashing about on the river which we are lucky to have at the end of our field.

We are set in farmland just outside the market town of March. The surrounding Fens has a long arable farming history due to its rich fertile soil. We have the Old River Nene at the back of our property and the Hereward Way Walk runs alongside our boundary. National Cycle Route 63 runs straight past our front gate and the Fens offers easy cycling as the land is flat and even. We are close to various nature reserves including WWT at Welney where you can feed the swans. We are also only 25 minutes form the beautiful city of Ely with its impressive cathedral and cobble streets and only 40 minutes drive from both Cambridge and the North Norfolk coast at Hunstanton (or Sunny Hunny as the locals call it) There are lots of activities locally - from horse riding Western style, to parachuting and paramotoring, bird watching to fishing, walking and cycling, archery and boating (we hire canoes and have archery on site - subject to availability). March has a small market on a Wednesday and Saturday and some lovely festivals such as St Georges fair and Christmas fair. There is also the Straw Man festival in neighbouring Whittlesey in January which is a great country folk fair.
