“This was a perfect location during festival season in Edinburgh. Princes Street and the Royal Mile were only a 5-10 minute bus ride away - on a route that stopped right outside our door. Yet we avoided the crush of many thousands of people downtown and were able to regroup and recharge on a quiet and hospitable street. Also, the Firth of Forth is only ten minutes away in the other direction, on the same bus route, and we had an enjoyable evening down on the waterfront at a fine seafood restaurant. Always served quickly and expertly. 2) Can't say enough about the location. Bus stop right outside the front door, and even when we went to the Military Tattoo on Saturday night, the bus delivered us to the door at 0130 in the morning. From the friendly welcome with drinks and shortbread to the excellent breakfast and clean comfortable rooms just as before. We find the location great as we can walk everywhere we want to visit and free on road parking outside and the bus stop outside if it is raining.
