Gardeners Cottage was built in 1847 as the Gardeners residence to Burton Closes mansion nearby. The original cottage has been lovingly extended using reclaimed stone to create one of Bakewell's principal homes standing overlooking the Wye Valley. This period residence nestles in over 4 acres of private woodland and gardens and has stunning views over the Wye Valley. The gardens still have some of the original fruit trees and the grounds are home to badgers and Foxes, badger watching on a summers evenings is available for guests on request.

Bakewell is an ancient market town known as the 'Capital of the Peaks' and sits in the White Peak area of the Peak District National Park.
