George and Dragon Clifton
George and Dragon, Clifton, Penrith, Cumbria, Penrith, CA10 2ER, United Kingdom – Great location - show map
wonderful location, bringing back gorgeous memories of a family wedding at Askham Hall.

Well situated just a few minutes from the M6 / A66 junction. Warm welcome and room was the same as previously stayed in, warm, quiet and with plenty of bottled water / tea / coffee (but no biscuits😥) Food was very good, tasty and in the portions were just right. Good selection of beer and wine. Staff were knowledgeable, friendly yet unobtrusive

Excellent but too much for us!!! Not their fault. Granola excellent too!!!

Excellent, fresh and local ingredients, cooked perfectly.

Outstanding small hotel. Lovely room, great wee bar with lovely food and the best hotel breakfast I can remember in the restaurant in the morning.

Genuinely dog welcoming, very easily accessible from motorway but a peaceful, rural location, incredible food, really friendly staff.

Atmosphere and food. Our room was a comfortable small double so we were fully aware of limited space. Staff friendly and special mention to Mike on the bar who had perfect customer service skills. We will return again.

Great breakfast which set us up for the day travelling home. We loved the hotel and staff and will be back

in good condition, very well looked after and very clean

As ever, I was greeted with the warmth, friendliness and glowing fires that keep me coming back again and again. Wonderful.
