Breakfast was superb served graciously in the most elegant diing room I have experienced. In prticular the bacon was marvelous - I've not had full size rashers of home cured bacon tasting like that since I was a teenager in the 1950s!

Close to the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire borders, Glebe House Muston is a Grade II listed Georgian house in Leicestershire’s Vale of Belvoir. Around 6 miles west of Grantham, the house lies in extensive grounds and provides free parking and Wi-Fi. Each room is elegantly furnished, and some rooms have a four-poster bed. All have a flat-screen TV, wardrobe, desk, hairdryer and tea and coffee facilities, along with a shower and/or bath. Rooms have attractive views of the countryside, towards the village, woodland or hills. Glebe House serves an award-winning breakfast in the dining room each morning. Supper or 4-course dinners can also be provided, and the house is a 3-minute walk from a local pub where food is served. Guests can relax in the reception rooms or explore 16 acres of grounds, including an orchard, vegetable garden, farm buildings and stables. Glebe House is around 30 minutes’ drive from the market towns of Melton Mowbray, Stamford and Newark, and the center of Nottingham is a similar distance away. Lincoln’s historic cathedral and castle are around 45 minutes’ drive from Muston.

At Glebe House, a fine former Georgian Rectory set in the Vale of Belvoir, you will be welcomed in the impressive entrance hall, and then shown to your spacious bedroom up the grand staircase. Settle in, then relax in the downstairs reception rooms. On cold winter nights there is a log fire in the Music Room to warm and cheer you. In the evening you are able to enjoy supper or dinner in the fine dining room, or find excellent restaurants in the surrounding villages. In the morning you will awake to the smell of freshly-baked bread. Breakfast is served in the dining room, and we promise: you will be well looked after. We want you simply to enjoy being here as you throw off the cares of the everyday world and ease into the timeless experience of Glebe House. Outside there are farm buildings and stables, orchards and a magnificent vegetable garden together with formal gardens around the house and a croquet lawn. Glebe House has in its past had associations with literary figures such as George Crabbe and Byron. The 16 acres of parkland includes grazing for sheep and walks for visitors. Glebe House lies on the edge of a small village in the heart of Leicestershire's tranquil Vale of Belvoir. There is easy access to main towns and cities of the East Midlands. The A1 is just 4 miles away, and the train station at Grantham for London and Nottingham is 6 miles away. Nottingham East Midlands Airport is 40 minutes away. Glebe House is convenient for those attending the International Antiques Fairs at Newark Showground, or for a cultural experience, National Trust properties.
