Glen Wynne was a beautiful property located in the town of windermere. It was a very short walk to the town centre and easy to access shops. The property was absolutely spotless and kept to a very good standard. Hosts Grant and Nick were very informative and friendly. Will definitely be returning :)

Location wise , t has good access to transportation and shops which are just few mins away. The room is bit small but very clean. i like the digital door knob which you just need to key in the code and I don't need to keep the key .

I had accidentally booked my stay for the wrong date, and the owners couldn't be more helpful to sort my booking, and secure me another date at the property for the original booking. They transferred my late checkout to my second morning with no quibble, and were on hand to answer any questions I had and sort out my booking with ease. I was provided with really helpful information prior to check in. The rooms were small but beautifully decorated, in a perfect location for Windermere. I liked the fact there was a secure code in and out, so you could fully relax.

That was the only downside. Unfortunately they did not serve breakfast which meant we had to find somewhere else to get breakfast. When away we do like breakfast at B and B. If breakfast had been served this would have made my score outstanding.

Rob and Rich (and their adorable 3 dogs) were truly the perfect hosts - the B&B was super cosy, breakfast was absolutely perfect (and catered to my requests with a smile). It was lovely coming in after a day of walking to a piece of cake and some chit chat about our days given I was travelling alone, and also coming back to a cleaned bedroom with fresh towels etc daily. I rented the single bedroom, and albeit small, it was exactly what I needed and for a superfair price too! The devil is in the details, I loved getting a separate wash cloth marked 'make up remover' so that I didn't have to stress out about leaving mascara marks on their white towels - it sounds silly to mention that, but I loved that eye for detail! All in all, perfect spot and super central as well to venture out on hikes in Windermere itself, walk down to Bowness or take the bus to Ambleside.
