Enjoying wonderful views from the doorstep, Great Orme cottage is ideal for those seeking a peaceful and tranquil escape in a stunning conversation area (the Great Orme). The Great Orme is a limestone headland (hill). Great Orme Cottage is situated halfway up The Great Orme. The Victorian seaside resort of Llandudno can be found approx. half a mile down the hill. Buses and trams stop a stones throw away from the cottage. We recommend the use of a car, unless you are energetic and enjoying walking up steep hills. There is lots to do in Llandudno – take a stroll along the promenade and the pier, hit the beach with your bucket and spade or head to the town centre where you’ll find all the shops you could possibly want. Llandudno boasts two shores – The North Shore is a hive of activity whilst the West Shore, in contrast, is peaceful and boasts a nice sandy beach with spectacular views. There is a beautiful coastal walk from the West Shore around to the historic town of Conwy with it's magnificent medieval fortress and castle dating back to the 13th century! Snowdonia National Park, Zip World, the Welsh Mountain Zoo, Betws-y-Coed & Bodnant Garden are a short drive away.

We holiday here in the cottage as much as we can ourselves. We live just over an hour away from the cottage, and always make ourselves available when needed. The Great Orme (hill which in parts is quite steep) is an amazing conservation area. Llandudno itself, is a beautiful, vibrant, Victorian seaside town. There is lots to do in Llandudno – take a stroll along the spectacular promenade, hit the beach with your bucket and spade or enjoy all the fun that the sea has to offer. This delightful Victorian town has all the shops you could possibly want – amble around the old part of the town with all its charm and character or head to the new retail park with all the big high street names. There is a nearby golf club for those keen sport enthusiasts and Zip World and Surf Snowdonia are a short drive away for all those adrenaline junkies out there. Llandudno is well connected with trains coming in and out of it’s station regularly and a strong bus service running. There is a tram service and cable cars that run extremely regularly - taking you up and down The Great Orme in style. Free parking can be found on many of the roads in Llandudno. We nearly always find parking on Church Walks (just at the foot of The Great Orme).
