Where we stayed it was within easy reach of a lovely walk a long the front by the Mersey going all the way to New Brighton. It's about 2.5 miles but on a summer's evening well worth doing as there is plenty of entertainment and restaurants in New Brighton. It provides a great base to explore Liverpool and Chester.

A quiet area and a bit neglected but some beautiful architecture and some good places to visit. We enjoyed an open mic night at THE SWINGING ARM, a meal at the lovely vegan eatery JORO, and the Woodside Village stalls at the weekend. We also visited Birkenhead Park which inspired Central Park New York but found it rather shabby.

The market used to be quite good but not now, not many stalls open which is understandable with the way things are with the virus. Quite a few shops closed now in the town centre. Apartment was couple of miles away and nothing around it.

We were given a guided tour of the old Town Hall, which is splendidly Victorian. Birkenhead Park is very pleasant for a walk around and there's a decent cafe too. It was the inspiration for Central Park in New York and the first public Park in the world - keep the masses healthy and they'll work harder!

Very friendly owners, helpful and welcoming. Good breakfast. Good temperature in the room (you can make it warm in winter, which I always struggle with). Comfortable mattress! The hotel is located next to the ferry, but the ferry doesn't do commute on weekends or early mornings. Ask the owners for the info on how to use the ferry on weekends and not pay the full tour price. There's other public transport available, but as I was driving, I didn't need it. Car park is available behind the hotel, which is really helpful.

This is easy to find, very close to a Sainsbury's and whilst it's slightly further from our training venue than I thought, it was worth that tiny error on my part! The house was immaculate, it has everything you need. The comms were efficient, informative and friendly. We are 3 friends attending an emergency services training weekend, so this was a better facility than a hotel - we could cook, study and natter :-)

Excellent communication with host before arrival. We appreciated the kettle for drinks but did not make use of the mocrowave. Pub 2 minutes walk away and bus stop 3 minutes away with frequent routes going to town centre, Liverpool and other parts of Wirral. Clean, well equipped with plenty of extras.

Simple but immaculately clean and comfortable, this room option makes a perfect base to explore the surrounding Merseyside area, without the hustle I'd Liverpool directly. The facilitator, Mark, is very friendly and helpful, and would certainly look to this as a first option for a return visit

It's a very good hotel. In fact, it's a house and you get a home feeling away from home. Kitchen is excellent with dining table. Big size bedrooms with comfy beds.. Smart TV in the living room with nice sofa. We enjoyed our stay. Value for money.
