This adorable B&B was PERFECT down to every last detail. You could tell Adrian and Dustin spent time thinking of ways to ensure your stay is comfortable, accommodating, special and above and beyond your expectations. The customer service made us feel valued and welcomed! The local, organic food was delicious. The room was exceptionally clean (coming from a clean freak) and the local care products made your room smell fresh and crisp. Overall, the BEST B&B experience we’ve had in England. We recommend this to everyone!!

Dating back to the 1750s, Grove House in Leyburn provides bed and breakfast accommodations within 5 minutes’ drive of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. It has free parking and WiFi.

Each guest room includes a flat-screen TV, alarm clock and tea and coffee facilities. All rooms are en suite, with a shower or bath, hairdryer and toiletries.

Grove House serves a full Yorkshire breakfast each morning, with vegetarian breakfasts also cooked to order. There is also a buffet selection of cereals, fruit and yogurt, as well as toast, Yorkshire Tea and Fairtrade coffee. Special dietary requirements can be catered for if advised in advance.

Leyburn is around 30 minutes’ drive from Hawes, where you will find the Dales Countryside Museum and Wensleydale Creamery. Middleham and Bolton Castles are both within a 15-minute drive, and the cathedral city of Ripon is around 40 minutes away.

  • Hi, Please can you tell me how many flights of stairs there are to reach the twin room with a shower? Thanks

    There are thirteen steps to the twin with shower (Swaledale) including a couple of turns. There is a very sturdy bannister to help. There are also two small steps at the side guest entrance to the house.

    Hi there, Yes, the fee is £10 per dog, per night and includes dogs beds, water bowls, treats and poo bags. Dogs are allowed in Swaledale (Super King/Twin), Widdale (Super King/Twin), Wensleydale (King) and Wharfedale (Deluxe Super King).

    Yes there is. There is a car park directly behind the house which has five spaces, also the Square in front of us is both free of charge and unlimited in terms of time. Thanks Adrian

  • Would 2 dogs be able to come?

  • Do you have any rooms on the ground floor ? My daughter is in a wheelchair, she has a walking stick but stairs are too much thanks

    Coverdale is our only room on the ground floor. It is a small double and there are two steps down to the room from the guest entrance, to which you will be given a key. Thank you. Adrian

  • Is it disabled friendly

    I'm afraid not. There are steps in the corridors and up to the rooms. As we are a 250 year old house we have very limited options to make changes. My apologies Adrian

  • Are we able to bring 2 dogs? If so where would they sleep?

    Given the size of our dog friendly rooms (Wharfedale, Swaledale, Wensleydale and Widdale) two medium sized dogs would be fine. The dog fee is £10 per dog, per night and includes a dog bed, water bowl, treats and poo bags.
