“I stayed one night while walking Hadrian's Wall path; it's just a few minutes' walk from the path. Although there are a few other homes nearby, you can't see them from the room, and it's completely quiet and dark at night as though you are deep in the country. The "room" is actually a large, airy free-standing cottage, very private, with a spacious light-filled living area, separate bedroom and good-sized bathroom. All furnishing are new, comfortable and of high quality. The host was quite lovely and helpful. The kitchen was stocked with a generous and varied assortment of foods that were more than enough for a post-hike snack, large breakfast, and a packed lunch. I loved staying there and look forward to returning.”

“Private 1-bed annex in the grounds of the owner's house, with a private open-plan sitting room/dining/kitchen area and private bathroom. Really good value for money if you're looking for space to relax. Good option for friends who don't mind sharing a room - it has two single beds. The cooked supper option is great for tired walkers - portions are a good size. Food for breakfast (continental cheeses, meat, bread, milk etc) is left in the fridge for guests to assemble themselves.”
