A wonderfully cosy room that was stress free to get to and very private. Delicious hot breakfast served to our door- simply could not be better!! Was worried about noise from the road but it was silent inside the room. Although it seemed a bit far from rye, the walk over the fields is really beautiful, full of sheep and lambs and isn’t too long at all. Great place to drive out and visit surrounding areas too . We loved our stay.

We stayed here for one night with our dog. The owner was lovely- couldn’t be more accommodating. Rooms are simple but comfortable and have everything you need ... except a refrigerator, but it was so old outside you could leave milk outside your door! The breakfast was delicious and the dinner recommendation we were given was spot on.

    Dogs are Welcome. We are doing breakfast it will be bought to your room. There’s 2 very nice spacious pubs within walking distance.

  • Do your mattresses have pocket springs or memory foam? Do you have a family room..with Double bed and single bed?

    They are pocket sprung. We do have a fold out bed for children we can put in on request.

  • Is it easy and safe ( roadwise) to walk in to Rye

    Hi, yes it is possible to walk to Rye from here, there is a lovely footpath over the fields, I wouldn’t advise walking down the road as there is no pavement. We can provide you with a map. Hope this helps.

    Hi, all our bed and breakfast rooms have breakfast included. Subject to availability we can provide breakfast for the shepherds hut for £7 per person which includes a cooked breakfast, toast, orange juice and a hot drink.

    If the dogs are well behaved that’s fine, also it’s not a big hut so 2 big dogs wouldn’t be suitable!

  • Hi We have a wedding to attend and don’t expect to be back until 12.30-1.00am is that ok?or does the doors get locked

    All of our rooms are in a separate annexe with their own door so you are welcome to come and go as you please, gates are never locked. I hope this helps

You will receive a warm and friendly welcome at The Hare & Hounds. We have an accommodation block next to our property which allows guests to have independant access after check in. It has been recently refurbished and is bright, clean and airy, We have lots of local knowledge on places to go, eat and drink and things to do and we are more than happy to help with anything. We have recently built a lovely Shepherds Hut which is at the bottom of our Camping field, its a fabulous self contained space with its own ensuite shower room! We have plently of free parking.

My husband (Ben) and I are very out door people who enjoy going to the beach, spending time with our children, dogs and extended family.

Rye Foreign is just outside the village of Peasmarsh. We have a great pub 10 minutes walk from us and there is a supermarket, pharmacy and post office 2 minutes drive. There is also a bus stop outside the property which takes you straight into Rye.
